A lot of powerlifters are guys who work in the trades or construction, and go to the gym after work. Conversely, bodybuilding tends to attract a lot of pretty boys who believe they should be supported because of their looks.

I never thought of sedatives but when I look back now I can see how these guys moved like turtles,lol. Seriously, nothing seemed to bother these guys they were like in slow motion. I don't think they took much, just enough to calm them down a bit. I mean my friend was not eating, before the contest he ate 3 yams with nothing on them and had nothing to drink the day before or the day of the show. Crazy.

I do not know if this whole story is true or not. It sounds awfully preposterous. I do know two things for a fact:
One, Michael J. Fox is a very small man; short, tiny build.
Two, there was a gay bar, a hustler gay bar, named Rounds in New York. I thought it was on 3rd Avenue. It had a very nice upscale decor.

Back in the day I used to play bar league softball. So I knew pretty much every bar in that area. I don't believe rounds had a team. They wanted to but they couldn't find anybody to play a position other than pitcher or a catcher.

I was once asked to do a private photo shoot back in 96, said he just wanted a physique guy for some shots, didnt do it.
Did a job for a camera club in 89, they wanted someone in shape for some photos, one of the photos turned up a couple years later wining second prize in a photo competition in the local paper.
I dont think I come across as desperate and available, hence the lack of offers.
I also dont really act like a bodybuilder when Im not onstage or in the gym, I dress down and am a bit Clark Kentish.

I was once asked to do a private photo shoot back in 96, said he just wanted a physique guy for some shots, didnt do it.
Did a job for a camera club in 89, they wanted someone in shape for some photos, one of the photos turned up a couple years later wining second prize in a photo competition in the local paper.
I dont think I come across as desperate and available, hence the lack of offers.
I also dont really act like a bodybuilder when Im not onstage or in the gym, I dress down and am a bit Clark Kentish.

You make a totally valid point. I can't know if it's true or not. I mis-spoke.
You're also correct about gay actors never REALLY getting caught out there.
Other than Travolta --I dunno any big stars of today that have gotten caught like that.
Either way--
I know what it's like to be in the closet.
