Chris Cormier said that one of the most impressive things that he ever witnessed first-hand was Mike Quinn doing barbell rows with 495LB for reps. I think this would've been late 80's/early 90's

I'm me and I've accomplished plenty that doesnt include standing onstage flexing hoping men are impressed with my muscles and grunting and squeezing.
By comparison what has Mike's bodybuilding accomplishments done for him? He's 50 something years old living with his parents who have to cook for him and make sure he takes his dummy pills everyday who's not allowed to go to the supermarket by himself unsupervised

Modern pro's are collecting the money from the publicity that former bodybuilders did for the "sport". Many of them even died for it.
That being said, the richest modern pro's should be the ones donating a few bucks for this guy. He was a life trainwreck? Yes. Did he contributed very positively to bodybuilding back then? Yes he did.

Uhh... Mine was short-lived there buddy, and made the choice rather quickly to go to rehab. You're comparing me to Mike Quinn? Who admittedly has had mental health failures since the 80s and has continually attempted to self-medicate with cocaine and alcohol. I had a conversation with his boss on Facebook well his former boss of a company that tried to give him an opportunity to get back on his feet but he fought them over and over and over and did absolutely nothing for them because he's drunk all the time. Fucked up drunk not just a little bit buzzed or nobody can tell like most functioning alcoholics. He combines the alcohol with with pain medications and his psych meds which makes him useless during the day and angry. Why do you think he's had to move back in with his mom and dad when he's something 50 on years old? There's a big difference between me who recognized I had a problem and realized I couldn't fix it myself and I sought treatment for it not once but twice because the second time I realized rather quickly as well I didn't quite have a handle on it by then. But Mike's in fucking denial. Denial towards himself in denial towards everybody else around him when everybody else knows full well because he shows up at an appearance late reeking of booze slurring knocking Products off the shelves wearing what looked to be pajama bottoms and a enormous Staind t-shirt.
