Trump in 2012 is talking about a specific ambassador and making an insane claim about him only to turn around and appoint him to the very country with which he (Trump) very likely has financial ties and potential collusion

Trump was already commenting on politics at that time and teasing the idea of running so it's not exactly like he's a different person now

Also, I know you haven't been on this board very long but our long time right wingers had no problem going back to comments Obama make 10 or 15 year before he was POTUS so certainly fair game to go back 4 years on a Trump comment, especially given the specificity of the person and role of that person that he is commenting on
