Yeah for some reason eurofags are always obsessed with what Americans are doing.
I still stand by my thesis, Pink Floyd is awesome, they made some great songs.

They're absolutely an awesome band that I grew up with, i just wish they wouldn't ruin it with politics

By Pink Floyd, I'm assuming you meant Roger Waters.
I actually bought Radio K.A.O.S. a few months ago. Not bad at all.
-
I like some of their early stuff like wish you were here and shine on you crazy diamond.
That said, I liked Yes better. The band just had such amazing musicianship, this album in particular is excellent:

My favorite song is Comfortably Numb.

I saw Roger Waters in California in October. Good show. He did however say "fuck Trump and his wall" and floated a pig out in the audience that said the same. All of the movie screens behind him were old civil rights clips and black lives matter shit. It was corny. Good show though

they've been floating that pig for a long time

I used to like them.
Now they've been added to the long list of people that can fuck right off.

I understand that, but this one said "fuck Trump and his wall". I don't go to a concert to hea politics just as I wouldn't expect to be at a Boy Scout Jamboree and hear that shit either. Talking politics is meant for pubs and this board.

The Final Cut is all politics and it's a great album
Politics are a part of life so it makes sense that it would be included in art
There are plenty of right wing musicians who write political songs and make political comments in their performances

I'd complain about their shit too.

I'll admit "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" is a great little mostly-instrumental album and I've probably listened to it a million times if not more. It's about their obsession with the late Syd Barrett.
Meddle's another good one etched into my brain after about a million listens.
But after it all, PF is just a fringe product of MSM. They made their money by following orders.

Meddle is another good album
I didn't think anyone here could appreciate it (not typical PF)

I always liked it. "Fearless" and "Echoes" are classics.

While I liked some of their material, I could never really relate to a band like Pink Floyd. The kids that did were the arty types.
This was my kind of band:

Correct. Billy Jones my favorite guitarist ever. I wish the sound could be a bit better on this:

Yes, problem is (of course) that they did their work before any kind of digital was used, like so many other brilliant ones. Tons of great music out there in visual format which will slowly disappear. Concerts and versions of songs completely unique, which weren't widely recorded and copied, and I guess will now disappear from memory.
And it's unfortunate about Billy Jones. I didn't know what happened until reading more about him after this thread. Too bad he didn't just grab his favorite guitar and disappear for a while instead of doing as he did.

Even a band like Blind Faith, that you'd think would have high quality recording of their work found everywhere (for those who look) due to their connections at that time, are just about silent outside of the small bit of studio action they had.
