Nasser, Matarazzo, Kovaks, Dallas, maybe Piano, all gone. Damn Dillett has those brew genetics and is proving to be the exception.
-
Wasn't Cutler 300 as well? It's not healthy of course. Especially when you step on stage at 240-260.

Mat Duvall got up pretty high. CT Fletcher took a beating from being that big. Don Youngblood came close to #300. Tom Prince, Curtis Leffler.
I could add a whole bunch more if we added in Powerlifters, OLers, Strongmen, etc.....

Yeah, I think he's had a few.

Eating mcdonalds everyday for calories. I knew a guy who ate mcdonalds daily, he was about 6'5 scandi, but T shaped fat. had to have a bypass in his early 30s.

Dillet lost ALL his size many years ago. He doesn't even look to be 200 pounds today, let alone 300. Matarazzo only got up to 275 pounds in the offseason.
-
The extra weight is too much to handle in the long run, but Dallas would have been on other stimulants too to die so young.
The smart ones like Dorian dropped weight after retiring and probably weren't on so many rec drugs/fat burners etc.
We've seen pics of Big Ramy offseason looking like he hasn't trained or juiced in 2 months and people laugh, he's being very smart at least he takes a break. I know it's not the same but you don't see sprinters being able to run their best times all year round because the body is obviously at another level of stress when they can, but some bodybuilders stay so much bigger all year round.
-
either they cant stand not being big because of their egos
or they need to be somewhat close to contest size because of guest posing etc
-
NFL players are routinely well over 300 pounds and chunky and have no issues. It's the over use of drugs.

On Sunday, September 11, 2011, at about 2:30pm, Atwood was walking through the pool area of the condominium complex where he lived in Dallas, TX when he had a heart attack. Two residents who were at the pool saw him fall in and immediately pulled him out. They were able to revive him and call paramedics, but Atwood died at nearby Baylor Regional Medical Center Hospital in Plano, TX, at age 37 years. The coroner's report showed that Atwood died of a massive heart attack. The report also states Atwood unknowingly suffered a minor heart attack about a month previous.

-
In 2007, he was hospitalized for a week due to heart failure, and after seeing an obesity specialist and changing his diet he reduced his weight from over 800 to around 670 pounds.
thats kinda a no brainer
but if we're looking at wrestlers and maybe nfl guys if people can get some stats on that, it seems weight isnt that big a factor so we might wanna look elsewhere for explanations

NFL players are routinely well over 300 pounds and chunky and have no issues. It's the over use of drugs.
Average height for a lineman is 6' 5", if they weigh in the range Dallas weighed. They're also under good medical treatment and coaching through the college and professional portions of their career too.
You can be #300+, and live decently, but the majority that do live like turtles. Very slow, mellow existences.

Don't they have a concussion rule in the NFL? I know they brought one into the NRL because of all the NFL players suing them for head knocks where they shouldn't have been allowed to keep playing on.
Maybe there should be one for bodybuilding like...if you fucking pass out on stage you can't compete for 2 years.

The average lifespan of an NFL player is like 55 .. 30 years less than a typical American

For the NFL, it's up to spotters, an independent neurologist, and team doctors. If a concussion is suspected, the player is pulled, and not allowed back till testing is done. If it comes back as a concussion, then they are supposed to be sat till they return to pre concussion neurological functioning levels.
It's not perfect, but it's there. It will get better for the players with each chunk of money the NFL loses to lawsuits.

But most over 6'2" on average

you sure?
MYTH: “WHILE U.S. LIFE EXPECTANCY IS 77.6 YEARS, RECENT STUDIES SUGGEST THE AVERAGE FOR NFL PLAYERS IS 55.” — SOURCE: ST. PETERSBURG TIMES
Fact: “A government study found a lower death rate among former NFL players than among men in the general population. Former players also had a lower rate of cancer-related deaths. And the rate of deaths from heart disease was lower, too.”
Source: New York Times
Fact: “We found the players in our study had a much lower rate of death overall compared to men in the general population. This means that, on average, NFL players (77.5-year life expectancy) are actually living longer than men in the general population (74.7 years).”

Also depends on the amounts of GH they were doing. Dallas was on huge amounts. As was Mattarazo.

NFL players got quite a bit bigger in the 1990's so I think we will see the lifespan drop dramatically in the coming years as those guys start getting up towards 60. Also it's worth noting that the smaller NFL players like receivers and defensive backs, quarterbacks etc probably do live longer than average guy.

Lou Ferrigno is still alive and kicking. He competed at over 300 lbs in 1993.
