I will be competing in Mens Classic class D this weekend. Did two shows in July but kept dieting because I realistically wasn't lean enough.

Then you better come say hello - should be shooting the stage for the NPC contest during prejudging, but will be taking candids most likely in the finals.

Actually anything I can get on clearance most of the time. They all give me the same effect for the most part. I got a container of Bang for about 15 bucks at Vitamin shop on clearance the other day.

Great physique amoney, not many of us will achieve that state of conditioning in our lifetimes.  Much respect.

Very nice to meet you yesterday! It was a pleasure!

Had a really good time at the expo!  Met some great people - took about 1,300 pictures, went out to eat with GAT to McCormick and Schmidts - lots of fun!

That is easily the greatest compliment I have ever gotten, I love his look and have ran into him a few times in the LA area. I was 216# at weigh in friday night and was at 215 before I left home Saturday morning with a few meals in me. At the LA championships I was 222# and those 6 pounds made a night and day difference. Your physique never shows its true potential until you get some good conditioning. My lesson at the last few regional shows I have done is conditioning beats mass every time.

How many calories were you eating throughout your prep?

Nope.  My wife would kill me.  I just take pictures, and sometimes get to see a competitor start from the beginning to join the ranks of the pros to grace he Olympia stage.

I thought Breon said he had to be 175 and it just goes to show precisely what you said about conditioning. You have a great taper, that split bi and are well balanced. You have the goods.  I'm with you in reference to his look.

I hope you remain on gb showing us how you progress.

How many calories were you eating throughout your prep?
I started back in April at 240# eating 4500k. In the initial stages I kept carbs relatively high and fat on the low end approximately 15-20% of my intake. As the weeks went by I lowered calories and and kept the ratios about the same 40% protein, 45% carbs, 15% fat. Cardio was minimal meaning none lol. It worked decently and I did my first show of the year back in July but I wasn't where I needed to be conditioning wise so cardio was boosted to 2 times a day just 15-20 min of intervals on a recumbent bike. Goal was to sweat my ass off but not linger on cardio too long and burn muscle. Also implemented some carb cycling over the last 5 weeks which really did the trick.

I used Dexa scans over the diet to help gauge progress. I will attach a copy if anyone wants to take a look. It is an x ray scan and supposed to be the most accurate tracking method other than dissection.

Ron hook me up with some competitor stars lol  ;D

Did you have visible abs when you were at 13.9% body fat?
Yes I did actually very well defined. I know it's common for most people to think they must be 10% when they have abs.
