Dennis doesn't believe his legs can come back enough to be competitive.
-
I don't think anyone will attach much value to what a gym parking lot top 5'er and Olympia stage bottom 10er has to say about anything. His shitty tribal tattoos post-retirement don't help his image either, nor making that stupid documentary on a physique competitor training camp in Arizona that's on NetFlix.

Dennis had one of the craziest physiques ever seen, regardless of him not being able to crack the top spots at the Olympia. The pics of him at the beach are insane.

Good to hear from gh15 again

Yeah, in the parking lot and in the locker room.
On stage you didn't see him.

Troy Alves probably spent half the amount of drug money that Dennis and Branch spent... and Troy won that pose

Absolutely right. Legs are the first thing to go once you hit 50. Especially if you don't train them regularly.

It's not like he was suddenly pure shit on stage. Small genetic things made him not able to capture the very top spots. No one can say he was a shit bodybuilder.
-
but then its not about being competitive so his opinion is irrelevant
-
Hes probably right about the legs. But kevin sure is another species. If anyone can do it its him. Remarkable the progress he has made.
-

Well, whatever, when it mattered he couldn't bring it. Whether he's shitty or not is a matter of opinion; for my part I think he was above average for his height and joint size but lacked pop in the quads, had smallish calves, a T-shaped lat spread, and lack of ab detail on stage (but not in the parking lot of his gym).
As another poster said, he's not competing anymore so his opinion on competitive bodybuilders should be taken with a large grain of sodium. Most "gurus" are full of shit anyway, and he was Rami's for a long time.
-
Im with Dennis not hating on him, Kevins legs wont come back, they were failing him or falling behind his overall development even when he was consistently competing years ago, too many aging factors working against him, Growth and hormones help in part slow the aging process but it doesn't reverse it. Reduced nerve sensation and bloodflow to those areas as you age doesn't help, people underestimate how important nerves are to growth.
-
sometimes when you grow older its difficult to find the mind muscle connection when training legs i suspect this is what happened to kevin.
-
Kevin is a power lifter these days :D
-
If it's true, why are Valentinos legs so great for his age? Dude has striated quads and even striations in his glutes and he's in his 50's, also doesn't squat either.
-

trix in your expert opinion, will kevins power lifting help the greatest responder of all time according to some morons on this forum, regain his lost legs
-
DENNIS JAMES IS GH15
-
Bottom line if Kevin's legs ain't back by now they never will be.
-
You can add his back into the conversation. Everyone is forgetting how bad Levrone's back was at the 2016 Mr. Olympia. He's dreaming if he thinks he will be competitive against these younger guys. Levrone's comeback last year was one of the worst comebacks ever.
-
Dennis really going out on a limb here with this prediction. ::)

And DAVE PALUMBO the EXPERT bodybuilding guru predicted that Levrone was going to DETHRONE Phil Heath.

That shot ...... Ouch
-
Has Kevin tried using stem cells for muscle regeneration? Add in some newborn calf colostrum and I think will surprise us all.
-
Kevin has saggy old man leg syndrome, at best. He belongs in an over 50 competition where people are judged by a different standard.
Is there a category of schmoe that likes the "saggy old man" look?

This , he was an embarrassment and a shell of his former self
-
He should've found something besides bodybuilding to come back to. Maybe direct-to-Blu Ray low-budget action movies that don't involve talking. Or a Joe Rogan-style podcast for BB enthusiasts that would finally dislodge Palumbo from his lofty perch of monopolizing industry discussions.
Anything to avoid sullying the greatness that he was 20 years ago:

Exactly...
Take the head and name off the body....he is mid card national @ best.
It's like fuc king xmas @ the IFBB with all the gifts dished out these days - still got to try and induce some excitment to the stale, regressing 'sport'.

They saved him from further embarrassment by not publishing a longer pic showing more legs :(
At his age, this is simply not a good idea on many levels.

Add his hair in there as well
Aging sucks just part of life

That's because very few people had the balls to try a comeback of that magnitude.

He actually holds his ground against dildo in that side chest pose. Still has the impressive shoulders people knew him for. I say good on him...this comeback was 7 years in the making. Never thought he'd really go through with it.

It was actually six months in the making lol

The prep.
He started posting videos of his 'transformation' and diet protocols on YouTube around 2009. The hype he built around last year was a long story to sell. Wonder how his supplement line's selling since he donned the thong again.

You make it sound like it was a smart thing to do for kevin .
I wouldn't say balls but so full of himself he was blinded and completely delusional to think he could comeback and beat Phil ...
just because BBers of the 90s were better than todays doesn't mean Kevin still has it to pull any type of comeback "
WooSHHHHHHHHHHHHH LE VRO NEEEEEEEEEE

Francis Benfatto who was 49 years old at the time, came back after 13 years to compete at the 2006 Australia Grand Prix and looked a milion times better than Levrone did at the 2016 Mr. Olympia. Benfatto at 49 had a better back than Levrone ever had during his prime lol. Also, Benfatto still had great legs at 49.

He looked amazing, but did he downsize to the degree Levrone did? I understand that he wasn't competing for a while, but that doesn't mean he didn't maintain the size/condition.

You have GOT to be joking.

No, he isn't.

Then he's a monumental fool without even a shred of muscle knowledge.

He couldn't train his legs

Should retitle the thread DJ on Kevin's balls
-
3 pages in and still no pic of big Dennis straddled across Kevin's thighs... :'(
No homo

What matters most is what they looked like on contest day and Benfatto looked better than Levrone period. Judges don't care if you stopped working out or not. Levrone believed his own hype that he could win the Mr. Olympia. Benfatto didn't hype anything when he decided to come back.
