The hit man Hearns was one of my favorite fighters. 6X world champ. His fight with Hagler was one of the most intense fights of all time.

If Floyd fought in the 80's, he never would have jumped past 130.  He had Arguello waiting
at 135.  Aaron Pryor at 140.  Forget about welterweight.  Leonard, Hearns, Duran and later
in the 80's there was Donald Curry.  Floyd is the best match maker of all time but would be
lucky to be one of the 5 best welterweights of the 1980's.

he did a similar move when Leonard caught him in the 14th round...

He danced pretty good at the end of the Hagler fight war.
Lots of spinning on rubber legs. Hearns was great though, if only his chin was better.

Marvin was amazing, I miss those days.

And because he got Knocked out three times in his career he's chinny?
Hagler, Leonard and Barkley, the Leonard fight was exhaustion and vBarkley caught him right on the button

You have just listed the greatest fighters of all time to compare him with.

Mayweather is certainly the best illusionist and match-maker in boxing, knew when to fight guys, stacking everything in his favor, including drug-testing... But he'll run through those guys, mostly easy work, too fast, too athletic, better IQ, better strategist, with enough power to stop most of them... Maybe Hearns will give him problems early with his size and lenght, but Mayweather would win in the end...

Regarding Hearns-Duran, that was an horrible size-mismatch, in today's era it would be seen as a cherry-pick on a much smaller, older man, while it's overall rated as an all-time's great win, lol...

Duran went 15 rounds with Hagler a few months before that fight.
Hardly a washed up old man.

Pryor would have swarmed in on him and knocked his ass out

gayfeather would have been too damn weak for him and Pryor would have manhandled him

Mayweather would not be able to get Hearns respect the way Leonard did.  Mayweather vs Hearns would never have happened.  As long as the Hit Man was at 147 and Pryor was at 140, Floyd would have stayed at 135 or below.  Hell, he wouldn't touch 140 until Tszyu was gone and he made Hatton fight him at 147 where Hatton was not the same.
