The North American Championship was held last week in Pittsburgh. It was a huge contest, spread over 4 days, with about 1200 competitors, in every category - men's, masters, physique, classic, and women's. A total of 152 pro cards were given out.
There was a special tribute to Dallas McCarver, as he won his pro card there in 2012 as a 21 year old.

He would be the second bodybuilder from Columbus known as a poor man's version of (x). Mike Francois being the other one.

You have to hand it to Ron - he is doing everything at MD all by himself, basically. I tried to apply to work there and initially Ron was up for it, but then someone on Getbig tipped them off that I made "racist" posts on here between 2008 and 2011. ::)

It's hard to judge Mr. Shaw just based on that one pic--here's a link to all of his pics from the 2017 North Americans. He's 6' 2", with less-than-ideal structure--his long torso kind of reminds of Ben Pakulski. But he's certainly made the most of what he's got and congratulations to him for his big win!
