This is why bodybuilding is a farce. Yet, after saying all that, Palumbo and Nichols still say Bonac should be 2nd or 3rd. How can they say he was the most impressive guy, 100% hit his peak, and is the only guy who is spot on, then relegate him to anything less than 1st place? ??? ???
Dave Palumbo: "Lets talk about William Bonac who was the most impressive guy in that lineup. He may have been the most complete."
Chad Nichols: "He is the only guy in this show, 212 or open, that is 100% peak. Only guy. I can tell you that right now. He is spot on."
Palumbo and Nichols: "He will take 2nd or 3rd."

His best is still less than Phil's off peak?

Doubt it. Phils gut should relegate him out of first place.
-
Chad said that if Bonac was 3 inches taller, he'd win
-
thats why you need to start with growth hormone early in life

Height should have zero to do with it.
He was better than Phil by the sheer fact that he didn't have a gut!
-
maybe they are both just highlighting the obvious bias the IFBB in favour of Phil.
Truth is the judges are on a gravy train, they don't want to upset the apple cart, thats why the Olympia always seems to be judged on names and hype coming into the show.
If Kai had entered they would have given him second to Phil regardless.
-
yes people just need to start watching the mr olympia from the perspective of who is battling it out for 2nd place.
-
He should be second or third due to his dwarf structure.
Ramy has better bone structure and yes it is a big part of pro bodybuiling.

It just goes to show us that Flex Lewis probably would have been in this top 6. Bonac is most likely no taller than 5'4. Although listed at 5'7. Crazy muscle but he's tapped out. That's it folks. At 5'4, his true height, 212 is where he belongs. Flex was a little soft this year and Bonac probably would have beaten Flex in that div if Bonac came in as diced as he did in the open. Don't believe the weight of Bonac on the video. Same video saying he's 5'7 when he's shorter than many in the 212 div. He's never winning the open. So why bother? So drop down and take on Flex where you belong...If Flex is soft, you win. It's really that simple.

Bonac is short but he has the wide thick bonestructure of a 6" heavyweight.
Kind of like Mark Hunt in UFC who is short but fits well in the heavyweight division due to his Heavy build.
-
Would bonac beaten flex Lewis if both were competing in the open class?
-
hunt is average height.

why? because he earns 100 000 dollars being 3rd, which is more money than everyone's getting - combined - in 212 class.

Mark Hunt > William Cognac

I hadn't thought of it that way. Do you know what Flex Lewis got for 1st place in the 212?
Flex stated that he viewed Rich Gaspari as a father figure, but he switched to BSN when they offered him a better contract - it was, I believe, only $2,000 USD per month in increased wages, but from what I understand, a considerably reduced travel schedule. Flex only has to travel five months out of the year now, but I'm not sure if he is still with BSN.
I think that while you make a good point about the prize money specifically, that being the 212-lb champion probably comes with other marketing benefits. That's hard to say, but ultimately Flex Lewis is still a "Mr. Olympia*", and I guess that is worth something that 3rd place in the open can't buy. Although it's hard to make a direct comparison - 3rd place is essentially "Bronze", which is pretty cool - but if Flex moved to the open to place 4th, I'm not sure if that would help him, even if the prize money is higher.

what do you think about the stream of human garbage flooding europe from sub saharan africa and other shithole countries?
-
not sure what the prize money is, i tried googling it.
but it seems almost all the money that goes into the olympia ends up in the thong of phil heath.

I'm disgusted with it. There is no other way to say it. I have no idea why every Western nation is insistent on increasing its population to unsustainable levels with third world immigration. Epic rational immigration policy. ::) I am fine with a stable and small population, but North America, Western Europe, and Australia would ratherbebig. We all better hope we don't try Germany's patience again. As far as I'm concerned, they left a major impact in the 20th century, even though some would argue that Germany Never1AShow. With 65 million dead, mostly on the side of the Allies in WWII, we can't really characterize Germany as having lost. It's sad that people are mistaking the kindness of Western man with weakness.

I love how Phil Heath gets $400,000 for 1st place, and Shawn Rhoden gets $45,000 for 6th place. If you're outside of the top six, do you even make money? I remember it used to be $2,000 per day as well as a per diem for food. Phil used to also get matched earnings by MuscleTech, so he would get an additional $400,000. On that note, Shawn Rhoden actually said that his supplement company dropped him right before the Olympia because they didn't want to match his Olympia earnings - apparently matched prize money was in the contract he had at the time, although I don't know what company that would have been.
You're probably right that something like 40% of the total purse goes to Phil. :-X
It's kind of like UFC, where the top guys make a ton of money, and the other guys on the card are making like $40,000, and some, even less. Even Johny Hendricks who many said defeated Georges St-Pierre only made $50,000 for his handiwork. :-X

wow i think youre one of my top five fav posters now, after me, myself, and i. i agree 110% fwiw
(illumati and some other good guys in there too. even primer i like, his flip-flopping homosexuality notwithstanding. i give him a break with that one because he only turned to it after his wife died, so clearly it's trauma-induced fake homosexuality)
next... do you think the world would have been better if hitler won?
also what do you make of the fact that the "death toll" of the holocaust at auwitch was 4m, out of a total of 6m.
and yet, a few years ago when the auswitch number was revised down to 1m, how come the total remained at six?
what happened to the missing three?
;D

Bonac reminds me of Momo Benaziza in a way. Dense muscularity with nice lines except for a shortened torso. I agree if he were 5' 9" or taller Phil would be toast. Much better conditioning with more dense muscularity.
