Winklaar huge!
-
Who is this idiot commentator?
-
Roelly is a muscular human specimen
-
lol@Shawn Ray shitting on everyone. I like it.
-
lol@Shawn Ray shitting on everyone. I like it.
Dude lives to dig on people..
-
At least Rhoden has a good song. Nvm it turned into g4p fest
-
Rhoden looks on tonight
-
I didn't realize that Shawn Rhoden had hair. ;D
At 5'9.5", he is a good height to be Mr. Olympia - he is an excellent bodybuilder, but just not quite at Phil's level right now.
-
Rear lat spread:
-
At least Josh put together a posing routine, more than you can say for most pros.
-
Josh Lenartowicz dedicated his routine to Dallas McCarver. :(
Sad stuff. I still can't believe he died at such a young age. As for being a person who "lived life on his own terms", I'm sorry, but I don't think anything would make me happy with dying at such a young age.
Incidentally, is Josh Polish, or a Polish Jew? From Polish naming conventions, I know a lot of "wicz" are also Jewish. Just wondering. There are not a lot of Jewish bodybuilders.
-
Amazing times we live in folks... Amazing times...
-
The webcast keeps crashing in Chrome for me. I am going to have to stop worrying about details like proper spellings of last names for these screen shots. It just takes up too much time, and internet usage just slows down the webcast further. So "cedric.jpg" will have to be sufficient. I got into the habit of being a detail freak from when I used to run my bodybuilding website, but I need to just let that go to try to get some shots up fast tonight.
-
Any tribute to Dallas yet?
-
Shawn tells it like it is, I actually like him as a commentator for this.
Curry clearly improved.
-
Shawn tells it like it is, I actually like him as a commentator for this
Me too, the commentator last year (?) or 2 years ago was awful, he didn't know anything about bodybuilding and I think it was Dennis James in the booth commentating with him and you could tell that Dennis just wanted the guy to shut the fuk up
-
Curry looks great!
-
Big Ramy may be the biggest bodybuilder on stage, but his conditioning is not on Phil's level, so he will not beat Phil. He looks amazing though:
-
Brandon Curry...how many of you are experiencing serious lag on the webcast? It's running awfully slow for me. Not to complain, but it's lagging like crazy. :-X
-
Bonac abs really take away from his physique. Other than that great.
-
William Bonac. A newer freak, and definitely the best-conditioned bodybuilder on stage:
-
Dexter "The Immortal" Jackson looking pretty good
-
Dexter is getting a gut..
-
Dexter is getting a gut..
And legs looks down.
-
Phil trying to control the gut ths time.
Dat hernia tho, legit disgusting
-
Phil "won", bye
-
seriously bad hernia there so distracting
-
Phil back double bi strong detail. That's where he takes Ramy.
-
Dexter Jackson - Wow!
-
Chad Nicholls said in the RX wrap-up video after prejudging that Dexter Jackson's skin was starting to show age.
Uh wut? ???
-
Cool they let JOJ pose...
-
Dang it USC v Texas also on and close
-
They cut out of JOJ's speech? Disrespectful wtf
-
Ramy kills Phil easy.................if Phil wins pregnant and with a hanging belly wiener Arnold should flip out and go full terminator.
-
GGG vs Canelo + UFC or oily muscular men? tough dilemma ;D
-
Also UFC tonight too
-
Nice 200 foot shots on Heath and Ramy. WTF?
-
10 Bitcoins says that Phil Heath has this one. :o
Also, I highly suggest everyone reading this invest in IOTA. Last year, $23,000 in Ethereum is worth $1 million today. In July of 2016, I told everyone to buy it - and LOTS of it. This year, I suggest IOTA. I will be investing $30,000, and I expect it to go up to $1 million within a few years. I'm dead serious here.
-
Ramy straight murdering Heath in the front lat spread
-
toe to toe!
-
Terrrible camera work here
-
So...it turns out there is a major thunderstorm in my city. That explains the lag on the webcast. Oh well. I will do my best to get this screen shots up.
-
Ramy should win this.
-
Ramy should win this.
I hope so but he won't, rumor has it that Phil heath got all 1's last night in prejudging
-
Ramy all the way!!
-
Terrrible camera work here
yeah
-
Camerawork terrible as usual, pulling back, focusing on wrong ones.
Ramy wins FDB, Side Chest, Front Lat Spread
Phil wins RDB
Tie back lat spread
Side tricep?
Abs = Ramy
Most muscular tie
-
Ramy looks amazing. Huge.
-
YT is better.
Darn, that one got removed. Let me know if you have one that is working.
Johnnie O. Jackson's last contest...he is turning 47 in January! Does anyone know what became of the tumor that they found on Johnnie's left lung? I was worrying about Johnnie's health, but he looks better than ever...for whatever that is worth. I suspect the same can be said of Dallas McCarver before he died also. :-\
I recommend Johnnie's first bodybuilding DVD, which was produced by MostMuscular.com. Great DVD - very informative, and it showed Johnnie's work ethic and powerlifting pedigree. Great stuff. He will be missed on the stage, but I think he is making the right choice to quite before turning 50.
-
Its close but I don't think Ramy is exactly "knocking the champ out"
-
Weider sold off their 50% of the Mr. O. Wonder if Phil is feeling protected?
-
Camerawork terrible as usual, pulling back, focusing on wrong ones.
Ramy wins FDB, Side Chest, Front Lat Spread
Phil wins RDB
Tie back lat spread
Side tricep?
Abs = Ramy
Most muscular tie
Phil wins back lat spread due to his back (rhomboid) thickness. And side triceps. The only person to come close or better than Phil on triceps is Roelly.
-
Totally Ramy
I will celebrate in the streets if Ramy wins!
-
Josh looks extremely good. As does Nathan. This is a quality lineup - Chris Aceto and Dave Palumbo didn't think so, but I think it is. They look very good:
-
Ramy looks like he's getting tighter
-
Ramy is dwarfing Phil.
-
Ramy is dwarfing Phil.
This should neutralize Phil being in a little better condition, which means I'd give win to Ramy. Inject excitement back into it for next year.
-
Shawn Ray said something to the effect that Phil Heath will be doing whatever he can to hold onto the title, but I disagree. I think he has this one pretty easily.
-
Ramy's back is twice as wide as Heath's, but Heath got that cobra definition.
-
Phil didn't bring enough to knock off Arnold - if he wanted a piece of history he should have brought it and he didn't, Ramy did............
-
FDB - Ramy
FLS - Ramy
SC - Ramy
ST- Phil
BDB - Phil
BLS - Phil
MM - Ramy
ABST- Phil
-
First Donald Trump wins the prsidency, now Ramy is giving Phil a run for his money. This is dick-in-hand exciting! :D
No homo
-
GGG vs Canelo + UFC or oily muscular men? tough dilemma ;D
UFC here, with Matt Canning and ESFitness commentating (http://ripple.is/mma/685-ufc-fight-night-rockhold-vs-branch)
-
Ramy seems more alpha in his mannerisms and demeanor. More classy. Phill stomach is atrocious. They need to extract retirement promise before giving him anything.
-
UFC here, with Matt Canning and ESFitness commentating (http://ripple.is/mma/685-ufc-fight-night-rockhold-vs-branch)
While the "bikini" shit is going on I might have time to watch some fights then it's back to oily men in thongs :)
-
This should neutralize Phil being in a little better condition, which means I'd give win to Ramy. Inject excitement back into it for next year.
But we all know Ramy won't win. :-\ :'(
-
Bikini should be called "most anorexic". I don't get it.
-
What was with the USA montage at the start of the show... shouldn't it be an international stage?
-
But we all know Ramy won't win. :-\ :'(
As long as Weinberger is head judge, you are correct
-
If the contest was solely judged based on size, then Big Ramy wins. But you could make an argument for Markus Ruhl winning, if we used that standard...so...I could see Big Ramy placing 2nd though, but as long as the judges still place high marks on conditioning, it's going to Phil. But hey, who knows - judging does tend to be a little inconsistent from time to time. At the same time, as they say, you have to knock out the champ. No one did that tonight.
PS - is part of the problem with Phil Heath looking "narrow" related to his having a big head/skull? Contrast that with Orville Burke who had a tiny head.
PPS - I'm going to turn my computer off to see if it picks up the speed a little. Funny how as soon as the Bikini division begins, it starts streaming quickly. But hey, that's not such a bad thing. Time to lay back and get a parsh. ;D Apparently one of the Bikini competitors is 47. :o
-
Bikini should be called "most anorexic". I don't get it.
It's like super skinny female models, 95% of men don't find that shit attractive
-
I hope Narmin wins the bikini if she's competing. Very hot woman. :P
-
Why don't these chicks try doing actual bikini contests and searches like for Hawaiian Tropic and various other contests, it's far more lucrative and they wont have to do clen /anavar.
-
It's like super skinny female models, 95% of men don't find that shit attractive
What is this crap doing in the Olympia? To prove bodybuilding isn't gay, hahaha
-
Women's physique belong s on the main stage.
-
Why don't these chicks try doing actual bikini contests and searches like for Hawaiian Tropic and various other contests, it's far more lucrative and they wont have to do clen /anavar.
Because they wouldn't win or even come close.
-
Wow prize money more then classic bb
-
Ashkani is like a midget Rami
-
When do find out the result of the midget class (under 212)
-
When do find out the result of the midget class (under 212)
It's on now
-
That dude needs to get some better posing trunks fuckin full on thong
-
Why does Shawn Ray call Josh Lenartowicz, Josh Lenarkolitz? Wtf dude, get their names right... he's done that mistake repeatedly
-
Every single bodybuilder open and 212 has a gut of some sort, everyone of them distended
-
Lewis 6 time champ
-
Why do they keep cutting for commercials during the winning speeches. Ridiculous.... I wanted to hear a tribute to Dallas McCarver
-
All of these ads are for crossfit....
-
Jose should have been 2 nd.
-
Jose should have been 2 nd.
agree
-
10th for Cedric. I bet he's pissed
-
Curry got worked.
-
Josh got 9th being natural. Very impressive.
-
Curry got worked.
I thought he would place 6th... not 8th
-
Rhoden should have been 6th instead of Winklaar.
-
Roelly should have beat Rhoden.
-
Winklaar looked upset
-
Ramy looks like he's having seizures hes flexing so hard... he wants to win so bad
-
Ramy looks like he's having seizures hes flexing so hard... he wants to win so bad
I really hope he does but it won't happen.
-
Ramy should be the champ. Looks like a Mr O.
-
I really hope he does but it won't happen.
I know... :'(
-
Not allowed in the crowd anymore. Schmoes pissed about those front row seat prices.
-
I know... :'(
It's a travesty that Phil will tie Arnold.
-
It's a travesty that Phil will tie Arnold.
You'd better believe Arnold is going to have something to say about the champ's bloated, herniated gut.
-
When I saw Big Ramy in person, I thought he looked tough - basically, sturdy. As if his thickness would help him absorb punches in a fight. But I think in real life, being up to - what - 338-lb in the off-season, he must be extremely slow and non-athletic. But talk about a mass monster. And he has better conditioning that Markus Ruhl. He's just a freak, almost like a Myostatin-inhibited bull.
-
Do they get to fuck the girl bringing the cheque backstage too?
-
Amazing line-up. No Great White Hopes this year.
-
Dwayne with the Dexter Jackson grey beard
-
Rock talking down to the poor people.
-
What a surprise
-
Fuck my life....
-
Another shot:
-
What a joke...
-
I thought this line-up was excellent, even though Chris Aceto and Dave Palumbo said the opposite.
-
You'd better believe Arnold is going to have something to say about the champ's bloated, herniated gut.
Let's hope.
Phil was good from back but horrible from front. Ramy was much more complete.
-
It's a travesty that Phil will tie Arnold.
Arnold competed against a total of 4 people
-
Only surprise was Curry, should have beat Rhoden IMO. And Rami unofficially won.
-
philtrum narrow cheats >:( >:(, fake cries and disgusting arrogant liar cheater!!
-
highway robbery
E
-
Cheath is crying again?
-
::)
-
The Rock getting paid right now. For not doing much.
-
As much as we love to hate on Phil Heath for his herniated belly button/gut, he just dominates the competition. Ramy gave him a damn good run though. I hope Ramy comes back even better next year he needs to work on his back detail
-
Josh Lenartowicz dedicated his routine to Dallas McCarver. :(

I'm sure he's of Polish descent.
-
Heath had better be crying some tears of joy. He barely squeaked by to victory tonight.
-
GGG and Ramy got robbed tonight!
-
Can't believe Phil tied the great Arnolds record.
-
This "sport" has been rigged since I started following it with Arnold. Why am I not surprised at the result tonight, lol
-
As much as we love to hate on Phil Heath for his herniated belly button/gut, he just dominates the competition. Ramy gave him a damn good run though. I hope Ramy comes back even better next year he needs to work on his back detail
They should rename it and just call the show Mr. Back Double Bi
-
Hmmm we will see if phil does more to market bodybuilding this year. I'm sure he will need to do something financially.
-
Chad Nicholls said in the RX wrap-up video after prejudging that Dexter Jackson's skin was starting to show age.
Uh wut? ???
Considering most of his clients are dead, he should keep his comments to himself
-
GGG and Ramy got robbed tonight!
muh spoilers :(
-
They should rename it and just call the show Mr. Back Double Bi
Yea, Phil looks average top 6 physique wise from the front, but when he turns around, it's not even close, and that's why he wins
-
It was an emotional night for Big Ramy:
-
Arnold competed against a total of 4 people
Yet those 4 were more competition to Arnold than anyone that competed against Phil tonight.
But nice trolling ;)
-
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I thought this contest was excellent. Maybe I fear for the health of pro bodybuilders too much to be overly critical.
-
Dexter won this
-
Can't believe Phil tied the great Arnolds record.
This and those guys in the same sentence. :-X Phil had an alien growing out of him.
-
Dexter won this
DO you think Phil will get #9? Putting your personal opinion aside - I'm just asking you based on current and recent judging standards.
-
Darn, that one got removed. Let me know if you have one that is working.

I was hoping he'd make top ten again. But he's going out in style.
-
I can relate to Phil Heath in certain ways - we are both 5'9, have similar narrow clavicles as well as large heads that make us look even more narrow. In that sense, Phil shows to me that it's possible for a man of my height and width to win the Mr. Olympia...
...but only with insane muscle bellies/tie-ins, the ability to get ultra shredded, great structure, round shapely proportions, etc. But unlike strongman, at least in bodybuilding, you can go far being 5'9. :)
-
It's nice to see The Rock so involved in bodybuilding. :)
-
sandow looks juiced now on the new trophy
-
They will not let Heath win next year, he must not break Arnolds record.
Arnold doesn't have a record anymore. The record belongs to Coleman and Haney.
-

Jesus Christ....no, you don't relate to him in anyway, shape or form. This rhetoric might be a little different if you we're a gimmick, but you're not. Fucking A..
-
A very emotional outcome for Phil, although despite Shawn Ray's comments, he must have known this one was in the bag.
-
Flex Lewis...once again referencing Georges St-Pierre, I'm reminded of him constantly being asked if he would fight Anderson Silva. Fans who don't realize the importance of weight classes for lighter competitors thought that fight was feasible, but GSP knew that he would be 184-lb fighting Anderson, who may well have been upwards of 207-lb. That is a massive weight disparity at the world class level, as well as a slight reach advantage. Georges was never officially offered the fight until he defeated Johny Hendricks at UFC 167, but the question was ridiculous to begin with.
Likewise Flex Lewis SHOULD NOT move to the open class. Why on earth would he move to the open class where he would round out the top six, or possibly get a fourth place finish at best? Maybe in five years, assuming he Flex doesn't burn out, he could be higher than #4-6 in the open, but only if a particular series of conditions is in place - some top guys retiring, others coming in off, as well as Flex increasing muscle maturity and being at his best.
So I honestly don't get why people keep asking him this question - I think it's stupid. But I suppose his fans look at him as being invincible, sort of like the fans of Conor McGregor, or the fans of any top athlete really. But I know in Flex's mind that he knows the answer to the question of whether or not he will move to the open class is N.O.
[...unless he massively increases his N.O.-XPLODE maybe. Massively.]
-
Do they get to fuck the girl bringing the cheque backstage too?
Surely that's a given.
-
Jesus Christ....no, you don't relate to him in anyway, shape or form. This rhetoric might be a little different if you we're a gimmick, but you're not. Fucking A..
I'm not comparing myself to Phil Heath as a bodybuilder or something - that would be stupid, obviously.
At the base level, you could say you relate to someone simply for being the same gender. Simply for having a nose, two ears, five fingers on each hand, etc.
I'm just saying as a person who is 5'9 with narrow clavicles, it's cool to know that you can win the Mr. Olympia title *despite* being 5'9 with narrow clavicles. Just like how Dimitar Savatinov's 2015 World's Strongest Man 7th place finish proves you can be under 5'10 and still be one of the top 10 strongest human beings on the planet. Men under 5'10 are almost nonexistent at the world level.
Just as when Dexter Jackson won the Mr. Olympia, he was the shortest Mr. Olympia winner since Chris Dickerson in 1982 - bodybuilders under 5'7 could then say "Hey, I guess you don't need to be 5'8 to 5'11 to win. In 2001, Shawn Ray said that Orville Burke was in the height range to be the champion, and I got the sense that Shawn did not think a 5'6 to 5'7 bodybuilder could win, as it was not within the judges' preference range:
6th~ Burke~ Surprise #1. I think even Orville surprised himself with this one. Up from 10th last year to the final posedown. Genuinely happy guy, two pro wins this year and a top 6 at the Mr. O, Dreams do come true! Orville said he killed himself for this show and was rewarded for it. Still needs better control over the mid section, thick skin, work on posing, drop a few pounds for better muscle control and separation. He has the kind of body the judges are rewarding along the lines of Coleman & Culter weight wise and height wise.
That's all that I meant, Coach. Obviously I'm not saying I could ever be at Phil Heath's level - given that there likely haven't been 25 men in the world at that level, ever - I'm just saying it is interesting for me to think that a person can be 5'9 and narrow, and still be the top bodybuilder in the world *despite* possessing those two traits. That's all I meant. Not everything I say is controversial. :)
-
DO you think Phil will get #9? Putting your personal opinion aside - I'm just asking you based on current and recent judging standards.
You need to look at my other posts on other threads. I said nothing of the kind.
-
!!!
-
As much as we love to hate on Phil Heath for his herniated belly button/gut, he just dominates the competition. Ramy gave him a damn good run though. I hope Ramy comes back even better next year he needs to work on his back detail
He didn't dominate shit, he lost or was tied or, at best, was a tiny bit better than the 2nd place guy. It was a squeaker that could have easily gone the other way. He won't get 8.
-
A very emotional outcome for Phil, although despite Shawn Ray's comments, he must have known this one was in the bag.
That was an audition for the Rock. Phil desperately wants to be on Ballers.
-
Curry should have been sixth.
-
Curry should have been sixth.
Agree.
-
Big Ramy may be the biggest bodybuilder on stage, but his conditioning is not on Phil's level, so he will not beat Phil. He looks amazing though:
But he was lbs.50 heavier than Phil, twice as wide, while very close in conditioning and without bubble gut,so he was better than Phil.
-
He didn't dominate shit, he lost or was tied or, at best, was a tiny bit better than the 2nd place guy. It was a squeaker that could have easily gone the other way. He won't get 8.
I agree with everything but the last sentence. If he was gifted strait firsts at this contest looking like that he will easily get(be gifted) 8,9 and 10.
-
