It looks like the IFBB Amateur is starting an IFBB Elite Pro division to compete against the NPC and the IFBB Professional League?
Many competitors are confused?
Is it 100% sure that Arnold Classic shows will continue their sanction under the IFBB PRO LEAGUE or will they shift to IFBB ELITE and IFBB Amateur? I believe this is the biggest uncertainty right now for competitors considering the business structure of the people leading this organization. Or will competitors have to choose?
Anyone have an answer to this question?

So, the IFBB Amateur is not associated with the IFBB Professional League?
Aren't they both part of the IFBB?

No, that's how fucking confusing it is. Strangely enough, the pro league is run by NPC founder Jim Manion.

I guess they made so many different federations and divisions to make more money. How confusing.

Best guess is that the Arnold Classic and the Olympia would go Arnold's direction rather than Manion's, along with all the international pro shows which Manion never had anything much to do with. This would be hard on top level US competitors because these are the two most prestigious shows. But Manion has lots of clout to fight this with, given that he controls 100% of the NPC feeder system inside the US. Is this really a true battle brewing or are the two sides just positioning for negotiation over judging and other matters?

Apparently Manion's Pro League is starting their own Amateur Shows (pro qualifiers) across Europe as well.

Last weekend one of the Elite Pros, Jan Turek, entered the amateur competition in Alicante, Spain. He won the overall and placed 8th in the Pro show.
Today was the Fitparade pro qualifying competition in Hungary. Elite Pro Alexander Westermeier is one of the competitors. I don't know the results yet.
These guys placed in the top ranks at the Arnold Classics for that league in past years. I guess they want Olympia qualifying pro cards now.
