Title: Do IFBB Pro's have 2 different sets of clothes ?
Post by: NickEdge779 on September 20, 2017, 10:30:14 PM
I've always wondered this. Like 1 set of clothes for the offseason when they are bigger and then another set of clothes they wear when they are under 8 weeks out? Do they have to shop for both sets of clothes? Or do they just wear really old shirts that they used to fit into when they are prepping

Of course they do. If somebody like me even who has about three sets of clothes three sets of Suits a couple each and different sizes for whatever body weight or body fat I am it's very very safe to assume Pro bodybuilders who are much larger than me have different sets of clothes for whatever body weight they are whether they are pre-contest or whatever, off-season or whatever you want to call it big and blue fee as gh15 called it, or completely off cycle and a little small and puffy.

Yes absolutely as an competitive amateur I had at clothing which would fit in the off season and on season. Suits, jeans, shirts and gym clothes.

I imagine that's quite expensive. When you buy new shirts and jeans do you buy 2 of each, one smaller and one larger for each season?

Another thing you can do, buy undershirts and undersinglets for pre contest phases. So when your body gets to the point where the clothes don't fit snug you can add extra volume with the under clothing. Then off season you don't wear underclothing. It also keeps you warmer when the bodyfat starts getting low. I would always recommend pants with a stretch material in them. My legs never really changed too much in size from off season to pre contest but the waist would come in. You can get tailors to make temporary alterations to pants waist size (small folds at specific points) and release them in off season.

I go up and down about 28lb and don't need two sets of clothes, I just buy regular loose clothes xx large T shirts and sometimes they are looser than others.
My legs are always lean so my trousers don't get tight off season or precontest.

Just don't get fat, you can dress normally and not have to walk around in sweats all the time like a moron.
