His legs were always thin and he always had tiny pecs (didn't bench press). All he had going for him were cool round muscle bellies on his arms and a sick striated back. Was never impressed by him beyond that.

It is a photo of one guy(not 6) and is sepia tone, likely taken circa the Battle of Fort Sumter, Battle of Shiloh at the latest.

There's pics of him incline benching 4 plates a side with Cormier.

He benched early on, but like most who get to a certain level used primarily machines. I can't recall ever seeing a pro or even an npc guy (that I recognized) use a flat or incline bench aside from in videos (back then vhs bootlegs of mits' vids or bootlegs of battle for the Olympia. Didn't have YouTube back then but I believe it was bodybuilding.com that had links to videos as well as KaZZa.)... Only guys I'd venture a guess to actually still bench with barbell and Dr's would be those from Metroflex in texas like branch Johnnie and Ronnie.

Flex is narrow. Narrow shoulders. And. Narrow chest... only thing that gave him the illusion of we're his shoulders which held oil like as well as a 55gal drum marked OPEC

He also had a gut. Check the Mass Construction vid where he has Danny Hester pull his arms back for a stretch while doing a chest workout.

Not really , in his defense he was on a pec-deck and he had a belt on pushing against his midsection.

Is MD aligning itself and Wheeler with the NFL?   ;)

strange to see Arnold's triceps overpowering his biceps. Especially in a photo if it's been photoshopped worse than that dude "Devon Physique" or Craig Golias.

No, I think he was on an incline bench at the time. He had Danny pull his arms back, and he said something to the effect of "gotta control my gut". And that thing was a gut.

That pic at this time, does seem kinda suspect.
