When you are targeting someone, you should first know who you are planning to mess with.
This is the first thing criminals do when they try to pick a target. Often times, they will pick on “easy” targets and will use stereotypes to do so.
For example, bullies will often pick on the nerdy and smaller kid who doesn’t look like he can defend himself.
The average low level criminal is not known to have much brains.
So it comes to no surprise that on occasion, their cockiness may override their logic and they may pick the wrong target.
When they do this, it is obvious it ends badly for them.
