Please comment on your opinion of the height and weight chart of Classic Physique.
The masters classic has no weight limit at local shows but goes back to classes in National Masters classic shows.
I definitely think its in favor of the taller guys, not allowing shorter competitors the ability to win the overall.
Overall its needs an increase across the entire chart.
Samir Bannout is the most aesthetic classic physique IMO of all time he was 188lbs at 5'7 in 1983.
Nice Lines, perfect tight waist, V-taper, conditioning, balance, symmetry, artistic posing, u name it Samir had it.

Can you post the chart?

Post the NPC chart as well, its different from IFBB. like 10lbs difference less in each height

Really WTF with all these Ridiculous classes
either your a bodybuilder or not.
samir - shawn - lee p - frank z - and countless others
just got on and competed.
$ making schemes to cater for no leg / half body bodybuilders. ::)

I have been competing in NPC classic the last two years. At 6'2 my cut off has been 225. I feel like the weights are spot on for what the division is looking for and If you turn pro the extra 10lbs of quality muscle will certainly go a long way. I am not claiming to be an Arnold Schwarzenegger but If I were to turn pro my weight max would be 235 which is comparable to some of his contest showings at a similar height.
Keep in mind many competitors who are at the max are depleting and "drying" out for the weigh in and actually are above the weight on stage like some 212 competitors. I enjoy competing in this class and feel like I can showcase a good physique with out risking my health to the extreme.
-
Just because you meet the NPC or IFBB classic physique height / weight specifications, this does not mean you have a classic physique.
you're welcome
-
I'm also 6'2" tall. I haven't been 235 lbs for years but had done powerlifting comps in the upper 280s. Back to bodybuilding and around 260.

What was the class that they had in Poland for roughly my physique/18% body fat? "Fit Model" or some shit? Did that class ever take off?

good stuff -
I feel the height and weights are solid, IFBB pros allow for 10 more lbs you are correct. the division is new so why make changes so early? give it some time to determine a baseline. this Olympia was amazing for classic
also the extreme thing you commented... is 100% true i dont feel like i am risking my health to an extreme measure to chase my IFBB pro card

if the rest of the competitors look anything like you then no, it would never take off.

the best guys have pretty classic bodies. - gotta give props
also when they say "classic" the judges are supposed to reward classic posing, transactions, etc etc into the overall scoring

it should not be that way

Logically those charts should be in metric ::)

Logically those charts should be in The Bin .... ;)
Fixed.
Work your whole physique & compete
Enough of the stupid part physique classes

I disagree
classic doesnt always mean "bigger" its means the best body at this height and this weight etc etc
its working... why change it 8)

yep thats true
but.... Mens bikini guys should not weigh more than them
so... There should also be weight limits for mens bikini ie. they should weigh less than classic bb

no weight limits for men's physique! its also working the best guys are winning at both divisions and a few guys will cross over
both are working!! no need to change a thing -

If classic was around when I was competing, it would have extended my competitive career.
-
If this class is done right this could take over bodybuilding in the open class and make it more appealing to the mainstream and open a lot of doors it's bringing back the art of bodybuilding

This division also doesn't allow excessive tanning and posing oil to be worn.

When is the 18% body fat category coming to Canada?
