Bannon Predicts Trump Will Net 400 Electoral Votes in 2020

President Donald Trump will win reelection with 400 electoral votes in 2020, his former chief strategist Steve Bannon declared Saturday in a reversal of reports claiming that he'd said the president had just a 30 percent chance of finishing out his first term.
"The populist, nationalist, conservative revolt that's going on, that drove Donald Trump to victory, that drove Judge [Roy] Moore to victory, that will drive 15 candidates to victory in 2018," Bannon, now the executive chairman of Breitbart News told an audience at the Values Voter Summit in Washington, reports The Hill.
Vanity Fair, however, quoting an anonymous source, said that Bannon had commented several months ago that the president has just a 30 percent chance of finishing his term. Further, the source claimed that Trump does not know the function of the 25th Amendment, which gives a president's Cabinet the right to vote for him to be removed from office, if a majority of its officials agree.
"I hate to break it to Graydon Carter and the good folks at Vanity Fair, but yes, President Trump is not only going to finish this term, he's going to win with 400 electoral votes in 2020," Bannon declared Saturday.
Bannon also said Saturday that he will eventually get back to fighting Democrats, but as for now, "it's a season of war against the GOP establishment."
On Monday, Bannon told Fox News' Sean Hannity that there is a "coalition coming together that is going to challenge every Republican incumbent except for Ted Cruz."
Bannon, going against Trump and congressional Republicans, rallied for former Judge Roy Moore in Alabama's Senate GOP runoff race over Sen. Luther Strange, who Trump had supported.
In 2016, Trump won 304 electoral votes, and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton netted 227.

I think we could be looking at 1972 all over again but with a slightly different twist.
The DNC will try to put up a "centrist figure" like a Kamala Harris. She is a complete corporatist sell out and also helped to lock up massive amounts of black males as California Attorney General BUT she does have that ethnic look which the mainstream media could very well put their multi million dollar spin machine behind in an attempt to sell to the American public.
I say she is "centrist" but she probably is about as close to that as they can get unless they inject Hillary with all kinds of drugs and prop her up as a candidate again.
The most probable is a stammering, non charismatic toad like Keith Ellison who inspires nobody but the most fringe elements to come out or an 80 year old Bernie Sanders who would get embarrassed on mic by Trump during the debates.
I don't know if 400 is a solid prediction but I would certainly say mid to high 300's. The Democrats probably own California for the next 30 to 40 years so we must weigh that into the equation as well.

Do not under estimate the power of alternative media. ESPECIALLY if you extend this out from October of 2017 to a potential November 2020 Presidential Election. Alternative media will grow and legacy media will decline in influence.

But to say they are a crap shoot is an overstatement. Depends on who is making the prediction and how the prediction is supported. Some are definitely more reliable than others.

If I had to take a wager, I would say the DNC will put up Kamala as their nominee, while the progressive wing counters with an 80 year old Bernie or maybe Elizabeth Warren.
I think the progressive wing ultimately prevails with Bernie or Warren or Ellison taking the 2020 Democrat nomination because that alternative media IS the future and these big conglomerates are struggling to hold on.
The alternative internet media is a growing monster that cannot be stopped.
People are cutting the cord in massive numbers.
CBS, NBC, ABC...their days of influence have vanished at such an incredible pace.

Why wait until 2020 to find out. The 2018 federal elections should be pretty interesting.
All 33 seats in Senate Class I will be up for election. Additionally, special elections may be held to fill vacancies in the other two Senate Classes.
All 435 voting seats in the United States House of Representatives will be up for election. Additionally, elections will be held to select the Delegate for the District of Columbia as well as the delegates from U.S. territories, with the exception of the Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico, who serves a four-year term.
