Was a great nickname by Lonny Teper (Schmoe extraordinaire), much better than "big country"
Apparently Dallas was "outraged" by the name.
Anyone know why he disliked this name so much?

Probably because it strongly alluded to the Black man looks like a gorilla theme, and he didn't like hurting black peoples feelings.

Blaine Sumner is the vanilla gorilla in powerlifting. It's not a bad nickname, considering all the other things you could name these guys.
