Does that garbage music playing in the background habe to be in every gym video?

Kevin Levrone was one of the best bodybuilders when he competed, incredible and like many great bodybuilders, deserves the respect for the physical, symmetrical and conditioning he attained.... but
That was then, and Kevin should not be competing now. He has nothing to gain by that.

Maybe he's not doing it to gain anything, and he's just doing it because he enjoys it?
But he could stand to make some $$ too through various vehicles, I would think.

And indeed with anything physical related - you can’t live in the present the way he is and not transition accordingly - something is eating his ass up and partly it’s age

Show some Legs - Advice for the Lovelorn

Levrone.....Over 50 and not pussing out on wheels and probably enjoys the challenge....
-
Hey if Kevin is in good health, stays away from bad injuries, enjoys the training and is excited about competing then why not?
Can he expect to win a pro show today? Probably not.

lots of people around stripping weights
Centre of attention of peace..
I train alone, Im still making gains on legs at 52, light weights all the way...

I recently changed from 6-10 reps to 15-20 on most exercises because I was having joint pain. Should have done this a long time ago. Better muscle feel during the movement, no joint pain and actually starting to get bigger! A lot of controlled research has been done showing you can make strength and size gains up to 50 rep sets. Only power lifters need to do the low end stuff.

I am currently using 30-40kilos on hacks and 15-20k on another type of hack machine, I do around 12 sets of 15 -30 reps
5 sets of each leg standing leg curl with 25k and 5 sets calf raises at 90k
thats my entire leg routine

Interesting. When I was bicycle racing a lot a buddy of mine who was an incredible sprinter used to do something similar to what you are describing- and his legs were huge! He never went heavy- said it didn't feel right. Easily had thighs in the 26+" range. I'll give your routine a try- although it's probably something you have to work up to!

Upper body still looks respectable so how about he competes in the long shorts/no legs class?
-
Well, I think that it’s great he’s competing again
He’s not in it for the money
Or the fame
He’s doing it for the love of his passion
I wish the bodybuilders today had half of the heart that Kevin has
Who cares what his legs look like
He’s putting passion back in bodybuilding
Good for him that after all these years the flame still burns bright for him

Have you always gone "light" or did you lift heavier when you were younger?

This. he does that "show" so it looks like his training is more important and effective than the next fellow gym goer ......

Levrone is awesome.
-
It's a flattering angle, I think.
His actual quad sweep doesn't look massive.

Apparently if he doesn't win the Australian Arnold Classic, he will never compete again (HIS words).

Yeah, but unlike you, Kevin stopped training legs for 13 years and stopped training them seriously for probably closer to 16-18 years.

I stopped training legs properly from 1996 to 2010
I hardly trained much, just went to the gym every now and again
-
Well I guess he's never competing again! He will never win any Arnold Classic, and he should know this. Not hating at all. Levrone was one of my all time faves. It's just (Father time) his days are past. He won't win any pro show, let alone an Arnold Classic today. I can't believe he said that. ::)

8 time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman is showing his skinny legs training...without ego... to inspire and motivate when he can barely walk because he loves the sport....but Levrone is too important and special for that....
