I’m about to buy a tv, already have cash for it

But I may wait - see I want one that is 65” or more

They don’t put those on sale, seems like it stops at 55”

I have 1200 - think I may just get a Samsung on cyber Monday

75” 4K w/HDR....Samsung is lead contender right now but looking at Sony & Vizio too.

The better values seem to be 65” since it has become a more “normal size” in the past couple years.

POWER, That 40”, $398.00 TV is already a 55”, $379 smart TV here in the LV Walmart and it ain’t even Black Friday yet.

Over the past couple of years I have been an Amazon Prime member and also do some 'shopping' on the EBAY site.

Most recent purchases have been :

AMAZON ..... A $700 mattress for $179 which I can give to any charity after 90 days if I don't like it and still get a full refund.

AMAZON ..... A 1080 video camera about the size of one die for $17 put I will need a $13 , 32(?) gigabyte memory card.

EBAY     .....  THE HAWK .... A magic deck of cards in which your chosen card will magically pop up after being placed on the ground (or something like that). A $40 magic trick that only cost $9.95 plus $2 for shipping from China of all places.

A great  advantage with Amazon Prime is that you never pay for shipping and if you have to return an item,,,, you also don't have to pay for return shipping.

This Friday my fingers will do the shopping if I see something I really want. Most likely a 1911 A1 (?)  45 which I solely miss nowadays.

Do NOT get married or have children.  You will get divorced, and they will take all your money.

40 inch TVs are like 200-300 bucks now.  Hell I got a 55 inch in my bedroom. I don’t understand how people think tv is a waste of time. I understand if you’re talking about an unemployed person watching tv all day. But for most people, it is just entertainment or background.

Watching tv when doing cardio is awesome.

Every sports-book in Las Vegas has a "TV-Wall" 12 ft wide and even wider. I've been told they will be available for single family residences soon.

And some of you may be interested if you visit Fry's electronics store and sit for a few minutes in the Home-Theater demonstration.

I watched a major Game of Thrones battle scene on a huge screen with a top of the line Bose sound system and felt that I was actually a combatant in the picture.

There's a nice Sunbeam Toaster I've been eyeing on QVC for about 6 months but haven't pulled the trigger. The toaster can toast regular bread AND bagels. It has 17 settings and can toast each slice differently. It retails for 114.99 but on Black Friday QVC is doing In The Kitchen With David and its on 6 easy pay installments for 97.99. Now, they are throwing in an electric mandoline for chopping.

Well.. we have 5 tvs (60 inch, 55 inch, 50 inch, 46 inch, 27 inch).   Had two others, but they are gone now.

Not much to buy for Black Friday this year - simple things... Google Wifi System, another Ipad for simple games and reading,
 But nothing big right now...

Is it at all possible that these new Virtual Reality headsets could be the big Christmas item this year?

A lot of young kids in my family so I picked up a good number of different VR headset brands in the $30 to  $35 price range.

One lets you fight with dinosaurs (dino gun included), one lets you travel throughout the galaxy, one lets you hit a ball with a bat (bat included), and a couple others let you do stuff that you would never do but ...... the best one seems to be :

"ETVR Upgraded Virtual Reality Headset VR Glasses for 3D Movies and Games with Stereo Headphones and Adjustable Straps - More Lighter VR Headset for Kids Adults Fit 4.7"-6.2" iPhone Android Smartphones"

I did not know that 3D movies are now available for VR sets.

I tried out the SAMSUNG GEAR VR SYSTEM which was unbelievable but very expensive and required a Windows computer. Hate me lots .. but I'm an Apple user.

If you get some time before Christmas ... go to BEST BUY and ask for a demonstration of the GEAR VR system.

I lost my balance while standing on top of a 62 story building and bravely did my best to defend myself against an approaching dinosaur who walked over my head after merely smelling my armpits.

Anyone familiar with these VR things?

Here's a photo of one of the VR sets I bought from Amazon (Prime) that received one of the best  reviews.

I'm hoping that the kids will let me try these things on Christmas morning.

I generally buy the stuff I want online during black Friday time.

This year, looking as some icebreaker baselayers, RE7 / Wolfenstein 2, maybe a gym bag....

Still exploring a SigSauer P226 and the Remington Marine Magnum as well.

Got everything I wanted - from Best Buy and Target (Targets gives 5% more if you have a red card).
 With the prices I needed.

And ordered all online... while others ran and screamed around...

Will pick them up tomorrow, when it is calm and relaxed...

And just shrug and shake my head at the ones that are screaming and going crazy over a 60 mhz tv with 720 pixels.... wow...

Nope Germany
P226 is the gun used by US Navy Seals.

That's American enough for me.
First of all, gun makers pay for the military in the from of contracts to supply them. Never never ever based your purchase of a gun based on what the military uses or what favorite actor is using in a movie.
Also, many seals used Glock 19s now for many different reasons.
