Ron.. in your opinion do you see pro BBers today make much less.. then say..80's- 2000's BBers? they all had Weider contracts etc.... Muscle Tech, BSN...do you think its much more difficult for pros today to make money like in the 80-2000 era? i asked Shaun Ray the same question and never got a response...im sure he was too busy. it seems to me the market has almost disapeared....but it can be brought back..

The days of incredible supplement contracts toppled with big Weider contracts are pretty much done, but you can be pretty smart in landing multiple contracts - sports clothing, supplements, equipment, food, and a multitude of other deals. Also guest appearances. Remember, bodybuilding is a worldwide sport, and while has its up and downs, the sport is just changing a little.

Put a fork in it..being is done. It makes it so much harder to be a pro. Don't get me started with the npc ...who is going to shell out 125$ for an npc card plus 100$ entry fees to compete in local shows that qualifies u for one American show...am I understanding this right

Thanks for putting this up Ron, great post as usual. I understand you are calling a meeting that weekend? Looking forward to touching base with all the initiatives.
STAY POSITIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

29 INCH, You asked a question in which the answer is pretty damn evident ....
"Who is going to shell out 125$ for an npc card plus 100$ entry fees to compete in local shows that qualifies u for one American show."
In the USA alone there are thousands of individuals who are willing too pay whatever an NPC card cost each and every year"
Just take a look at the number of contestants entering NPC amateur contests just about every weekend and the number of pros who are doing likewise throughout the world.
And now that it appears that the IFBB Pro League/NPC will have its foot in the door in those foreign countries as shown above the number of IFBB PRO League/NPC competitors paying whatever it cost to get an NPC/Pro card will skyrocket into the stratosphere.
What are you not seeing that makes you feel otherwise?
Two brothers in LasVegas just recently sold their interest in the MMA for FOUR-BILLION DOLLARS after a buy in of $2 MILLION just a few years ago.
Don't be at all surprised if you see similar figures on the IFBB table within the next few years.
