This is so beyond stupid.
A) His "rocket" is steam-powered, by 70 gallons of water in a stainless steel tank?
B) He plans to reach an altitude of 1,800 feet? You couldn't detect the curvature of the earth from that altitude any more than you could see the curvature of the earth by climbing to the top of a mountain (thereby saving yourself the expense of building a homemade steam-powered suicide machine). SR-71 pilots above an altitude of 80,000 feet can begin to make out the curvature of the earth. He won't see shit from 1,800 feet.
C) He says he's going to be launched into the 'atmosflat', not the atmosphere.
I'm calling bullshit. Nobody is this obstinately, willfully retarded. This has got to just be for the publicity for his YouTube channel.

The 1800ft thing is a "test" ::)
He has already been up to 1374ft in another rocket.
Nowhere in the article does he suggest he will be disproving that the earth is flat with this rocket. Seems like just a bit of advertising for their cause.

I know rocket's username makes it seem like his post was probably a useless, piece of shit joke and probably caused you to skip right over it, but he's right. The guy was just doing a daredevil stunt. He didn't say he was trying to prove the earth was flat. He's not a rich guy and it's a relatively expensive stunt, so some flat-earther is sponsoring it.

This is a very good example of media deception.
This guy is into launching home made rockets - but he did not make this rocket to prove a flat earth.
He went to the flat earthers to get funding for his project cos he ran out of money. So that is really his only connection to FE.
The MSM know this too btw.

It's getting to where you've got to filter out the bias and "spin" from even the most minor and innocuous news stories such as this one, to get the real unadulterated truth. Journalism is fast becoming a lost art.
