I was sitting in the dentist office reading Time magazine and I found this article on Geniuses telling on the state of Journalism.
Time Magazine
Who’s The Greatest Genius of All Time? 6 Innovators Weigh In
Rihanna on Michael Jordan
Michael Jordan is a legend himself, and what he’s been able to accomplish in his sports career is outstanding. But the way he’s transformed that into a timeless brand that stands on its own and will live on forever without ever getting old—that’s genius.
David Adjaye on Max Bond
It’s no overstatement to call Max Bond the most influential African-American architect of his generation. I had long admired him for his success and dedication, and the breadth of his work across Europe, West Africa and the U.S. allowed me to imagine possibilities for my own career. But it was when we collaborated—during the last months of his life, on the competition for the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC)—that I came to understand his true genius: the instinct for the empowering capacity of the built environment.
Whether as educator, designer or planner, Max had an ability to build net- works and embrace communities. This unflinching drive to challenge marginalization is visible across his work. He was an architect of stories, rendering museums and housing equally with his sense of empathy. Given the very real constraints of the architectural industry, the mere fact of his success was remarkable. But his commitment to broadening the conversation around architecture and urban design to include
issues of inequality was nothing short of revolutionary.

To be fair the article did include leonardo da vinci and Einstein, but no mention of Issac Newton. I guess he was behind Michael Jordan, Max Bond, and Jane Goodall and didn't make the cut. This is the state of journalism today.
-
Newton stands alone.

The article did not include any getbiggers.

And Rihanna is in a position to qualify such a statement? ::)

Nikola Tesla.
There is a reason he's been almost short of removed from history.

Tesla is the Bitcoin of the scientific community.
He's overvalued only by people with little knowledge on the field.
-
Given it's Time Magazine (and all that entails) we should all keep in mind the old saying, "In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king".
Idiocracy is in their DNA and shown by their "writing".
They are total fucktards and worship celebrity above all else.
-
"Michael Jordan will live on forever" ;D

I know. Alternating current was a silly idea that has no practical application in the modern world.

But think of the fun we could have here at getbig if Tesla actually had developed the Death Ray!
Who would go first?

It's not especially inspired tho. Every output shaft since the water wheel spins. It's hard to believe it took someone so long to put a magnet on it and induce a current into some wire.
