The former Howard Stern sidekick preparing to go nostril-to-nostril with Mr. O.
-
I venture to say nose-width is apparently only one of Artie's problems.
-
With all the drugs he does how is he still alive? Oh, and who's Artie Lange?
-
He just got arrested for skipping a court date.
-
That dude is hilarious. What happened to him??

Coke, then Heroin. The structure of his nose is gone because he's been snorting for decades. It's worse in that picture from last week, rumor is he might of taken a beating from his dealer or bookie.

Cokke did that to his nose?? Or someone fucked him up? It's sad because he's actually really funny, but the guy is just destroying himself.

That's him from the Summer above. The rumor is that he took a beating for some reason so it looks worse, but the damage to his nose was already progressing. He has to go get it rebuilt every few months because of the drug damage

That's crazy, hope this guy gets it together, Dirty Work is still one of my favorite movies.
-
Talk about fucking your life up. He had one of the greatest gigs in entertainment, then fucked it all up.
He's on a collision course with death and shows no signs of getting his shit together.

Crazy to think about a guy like Dallas McCarver died of a heart attack at 25, yet this guy has been an alcoholic, drug abuser, obese, smoker, with zero exercise and overall just a complete wreck health wise for years and he is still alive.
-
He was arrested last night:

And it looks like he's back to using.
"When he was stopped, detectives allegedly found Lange with a bag of heroin on his lap. He was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia, Fontoura said."
-
Those details were from his arrest in May.
He was arrested yesterday for missing a court date.
But, he's no doubt still using if he's missing court dates.

People orchestrate their own fate, largely.
It’s not society’s responsibility to “save” someone. If help is required, then great. Here. If you abuse help by taking it with less than sincere intent or fuck up again and again, you’re on your own.
Drug addiction is weakness. Disease my ass.
Everyone screws up, to lesser or greater degrees. Me. You. Everyone. However, folks who are determined to meet destruction need to be given freedom to achieve just that.
Fuck-ups with very few exceptions become lifelong fuckups, harming everyone and everything with which they come into contact.
This guy would seem to be a fuck-up.
Let him meet his fate.

Keeping up in Hollywood seems expensive, I know he's a Hollywood lowlife but how do some of these people have money?
-
he left the stern show after stabbing himself in the stomach a few times, he clearly doesn't fear death

Just curious, have you been addicted to something before? The weakness response is usually spouted from someone who has not dealt with it from the first person POV.

No, please tell it.
Haven't had a chance to read his book.
-
Those first 2 or 3 years when Howard came to satellite and had Artie at his side, that was the absolute prime of the show.
-
Yep.
-
Howard had to get rid of him. His suicidal behavior and the criminals he associated with made Howard make the move to fire him. Howard comes across as a lunatic but in reality he leads a boring life of going to work then living as a hermit. He didn't need the danger of that loose canon his work area.

No. Never.
But I do have OCD, so I know of compulsion on a “stress sweat” level.
Drug addiction is weakness.
Some are predisposed to developing addiction, yes, but they still have to allow this to manifest and to take a foothold.

OCD is the biggest weakness of all.

No, weakness is giving in to it. I was confronted with it, explored what it is within me, and chose to fight back. Because of my strength, OCD has not derailed my life. Ever. I’m going to be 48 in January.
Strong as an ox, bitch.
Drug users give in to their genetic predilection towards addiction.
Drug addicts are weak.
But thanks for coming out.
