Every full grown adult should be able to deadlift 375 if they're even mildly competent and somewhat have an athletic background as well as go to the gym semi regularly

I stoped watching any late night show so long ago.. in 2009 I think,, I stopped it in the twilight years of jay leno.. once he was done in 2014 or so.. then I was completely done,,

True, but these days, people don't, so it makes his lift impression.
475...then I would be impressed. That's near by lifetime max, and likely above my max with good form [especially contest form], and I was wearing straps - but I think anyone at 475 or beyond definitely put some time in. I would even say that about 375, but as you said - most men will be able to go there if they go to the gym. I would say regularly, rather than semi-regularly though. JMO.

Agreed! My body felt and looked better after I STOPPED this body wrecking exercise and focused more on stiff-legged deadlifts and Trap-bar deadlifts. Same goes for shit canning back squats for safety bar or front or high rep goblet squats. I don't see any glory in an exercise that has someone feeling like shit for three days after he does it or at max effort has his spine resembling strained fishing wire. By the same reasoning we can add high effort benching which is a shitty chest builder and a great shoulder destroyer while dips and dumbbell bench press are chest builders.
I'm so NOT jealous when I see 315 bent over rows or 405-plus back squats or 585 plus deadlifts. If you're built like a mountain man, have at it. For most, the "big three" or "big lifts" are overrated.
