What's the best time to begin sipping wine when competing? I've heard some say the night before to sip a little and I've seen people sipping backstage right before stepping on stage. Opinions? Proven results?

A couple of glasses the night before may help you to dry out a little providing you are in good condition anyway.A few sips with your niacin before you go onstage may help your vascularity.
