Title: Do bodybuilders fear aging more so than others?
Post by: BBSSchlemiel on December 29, 2017, 10:34:04 AM
It seems once they reach 35 years old they start referring to themselves as an old man. If I recall correctly, Meadows has been saying he's an old man since his late 30's.

Well they do go to war when in the gym, since they're in the "trenches" doing "battle".

It takes a much bigger toll on you.

Diet is key, especially adequate amount of fats keeps the skin/hair looking very nice, also a quality moisturizer is essential.

Have a look at the Phil Heath thread and the photos of Nasser one year apart. Looks like insulin aged him 15 years in one year.

High sugar diets in general will age the fuck out of you, regardless if you're on insulin or not, but with using insulin these guys need to consume the carbs to cover it and usually its super sugary stuff they use to combat going hypo.

Though the older we get the less these things matter, except health.

Makes sense as a reason and best explanation I have heard so far. Something about how fast Nasser's face rapidly aged I feel it must be more than excess sugar though. That's part it no doubt but is there some sort of weird chromosome shit going on we don't yet understand?

look at guys from the pre slin eras compared to post slin era, most of those guys from the 70's/80's even early 90's still look damn good. Labrada, Benfatto, Big Louie, Danny Padilla  just a few off the top of my head, still look great.

Some of today's pro's look pretty rough, Centopani, Guy Cisternino, Frank McGrath. These guys look very haggard.

Yes they do you make a good point. Makes me wonder about Gaspari he went wrong big time somewhere along the line, perhaps it was slin? Not saying he looks terrible but when he was young he looked destined to age well, he had one of those youthful faces if you know what I mean but maybe insulin and all that sugary food took him on another path?

Levrone said he's never done insulin,  he looks great. Gaspari looks pretty good,  probably stress from his business aging him more than anything.

What happened to Cisterno? Last I heard he was having major issues with his skin and burns appearing on his body. Must have been DNP he was messing with but I'm not sure?

I don't believe Levrone. No way he tells too many lies about gear use overall for me to believe he never used slin when he was one of the best pros ever. Come on Levrone, start being honest with your audience......we want to know your true cycle sizes.

Steroids will age the hell out of you. These gym rats that have cycled since their teens into their 40's start looking like crap. Especially off cycle.

Can still see burn marks on Cisternino's arms makes me wonder why he's so covered up?! That hat is scrunched down to his nose.....I hope he is ok and not too fucked up. Must be DNP melting him from the inside surely?

I can tell you anyone thinks pro bodybuiders don't eat sugar are crazy you basically have to drink gallons of koolaide dextrose or pop I imagine most of them say fuck it turn to soda . They eat a lot of candy gummy bears they have to to cover all that insulin some take in 1000-2000 plus grams sugar a day

Igf1 increases aging of cells as well.

Probably because 35 in today's bodybuilder years is in reality 105 years of age for their internal organs.

of course

there is absolutely nothing better about aging and bodybuilders clearly care more than the average man about how they look

Do you pass on the tradition of raping the younger men like the older guys did to you in the locker room back in the day?

As long as you can keep your health(phys. and mental) at a higher level and you're somewhat attractive... age can be a good thing for a male. It seems you start peaking at over 30 years until your fifties if your genes and lifestyle allow it.

Of course there's something like old age and if one has reached asylum level aesthetics then I guess its time to start seeking physical death or retreat into the woods and hunt for dogmen.

Sure steroids age you however I think there's sort of a plateau. For instance Powerball jablonicky has looked like he's 60 for the past 20-plus years and Markus Ruhl has looked like these 50 for the past 20-plus years.

My personal experience when I'm on either certain steroids or at certain dosages I'll look a good at 10 to 15 years older than I am at any given age since I was 17/18. For instance back when I was 20 and running high doses of see Trenbolone and test I would easily pass for 35, & after decreasing or stopping the tren, I would look more like I was 25 ish. Lately, the last couple months or so, people would ask how old I'll be on my upcoming birthday and I've gotten responses I had never gotten before... they thought I was anywhere from 31 to 33 lol... Not sure how I feel about that but I can probably attributed it to running for the past year, if not 2 years, the lowest dosages Ive run since probably 1999. Especially this year with my usage being more haphazard with infrequent HRT doses due to injuries and surgeries

technically speaking, we begin ageing during our early-twenties (after puberty maturation)

genetic marvels postpone the beginning of the 'ageing' process a couple of years but everyone gets it regardless (mid twenties at best)

any type of sport increases cell metabolism and therefore decreases its lifespan

bbing is one of the most 'cell-taxing' and 'organ-taxing' activities out there, be it anabolically or catabolically

ageing to a bber means a (steadily increasing) reduced capability of growing/maintaining/maturing muscle and anatomical tissues
it means you are no longer working towards pure anabolism but rather combating physical and mental decline, no matter how you look at it

a way to circumvent the long term muscular degeneration is to steadily increase aas dosage (pro-style) therefore augmenting side effects and lifespan brevity

its a balance, either you go for quality on short or mid term, either u go for quantity (longevity) on the long term

personally i go for quality on mid term by enhancing physical/mental state AND doing everything in reach to maintain positive health balance

the everything in reach part should be a bbers priority pursuit in life

i will simplify

either be a 1,2 diesel for 100 years with minimal issues

or a 350 V8 for 50 years with its benefits and anomalies
