It's been debated with polls & opinions for years. If you lined up all the great bodybuilders at their best which one would win? There's no right answer since bodybuilding is subjective but there have been so many great showings.
1991 Haney; 1993, 98 ASC Wheeler; 1993 & 95 Yates; 1998,99,2003 & 2001 ASC Coleman; 2001, 2009 Cutler; 2011, 13, 16 Heath; ect.
I have my opinion but I'm not 100% glued to it as I realize until you get them side by side theirs no way to know for sure. It still would be cool to hear people's opinion on who they think would beat them all.
I appreciate any views & you can go FULLSCREEN without leaving this page.

Coleman was the freak of all freaks. He is number one and Dorian is number two. The rest include Haney, Arnold, Heath.

Well said, I think we can close this debate

A mixture of a prime 1973/74 Arnold with a 1983 Samir would be my ideal
physique; but although my favorite look they aren't beating anyone past Haney
with the current judging. I think in 50 years Arnold will still be looked upon physique wise more
than anyone. (More people will admire that look & his BBing pictures.)
-
No one beats a prime Coleman.
He would destroy Phil Heath.
-
Just go to the 45 second mark and pause then you’ll realize how untouchable Coleman was.
-
93 Yates would challenge that, at worst, beat at best.

My personal opinion is that a 1993 or 95 Yates would be his greatest
competition.

I could find it online but Ronnie's width would play a big
part in that decision (according to Cutler). The equal bigger man beats the equal
smaller man. When Heath is next to Dexter there is not much
difference in width. When Ronnie was next to Dexter it was night
and day. This is Phil probably at his biggest with very good definition
in 2013 and Ronnie not at his best & not fully flexed like Heath, probably 2000.
It's very fairly scaled and may be scaled a tad in Heath's favor.

I agree Dorian Yates 1993 would be the greatest competition. His shape at that show was amazing. However, Coleman at his absolute peak is the pinnacle of the human body. Regardless, Dorian is the man and seems like he would be the one you would want to hit the clubs with ;D

the 93 version of yates was carved out of granite

Bodybuilding could have taken that route. It was in the hands of the
judges & they chose Yates. He was around 215 for the 93 ASC & very good at the Olympia.
Good enough that the judges could have chosen that as the route bodybuilding was
going to go.
At the 1997 ASC I bet Flex weighed low 220's and beat a monstrous in pretty
good shape Nasser.

Nice IG
Thanks man! I appreciate it. Ramy used one of my pictures I fancied up for him.
Kai did too. If either one had given me credit my IG would have blown up
but I'm mainly happy they thought they were cool enough to use them on their own pages.

98, 99 Coleman destroys Heath. 98 Arnold 99 O. and British Grand Prix Flex also beat Heath.
-
Coleman’s best is the best ever. Although I liked flex wheelers physique the best. Same with Titus, Cormier and Lee priest. Would ya e preferred their look over Coleman. But strictly bodybuilding Coleman is best.

There's no doubt that is a work of art and Flex wasn't that far from it at the 93 OLympia.
Had thye judges decided that is the way they wanted bodybuilding to go they could
have awarded Flex the title.
Remember Flex was only 215 pounds.
I rented the 25th anniversary stream on amazon for $1;99 or 2:99 at most.
Mcgough was talking about how the 2001 ASC Ronnie was the best winner
BUT then goes on something along the lines that he would like to see the 1998
ASC version of Flex to be sure. The pictures were crap for the 98 contest whereas
the lighting was perfect for pics in 93. Flex was at least 230 and even drier than 1993.
On stage Arnold said it was the best bodybuilding body he had ever seen.
15 pounds of muscle on Flex's light frame is different than a bigger boned Yates
or Nasser putting on 15 pounds. As usual he warms up with the Ironman where
it looked like he was using Escilene which disapates quickly unlike Synthol.
I will say that the 1993 version was more pleasing to look at but the 98 ASC version
would be more competitive. This doesn't make me right but when you have Arnold and
Peter both say it; that makes it hold some weight.
Most people aren't even aware how awesome Flex was at the 98 ASC. There's not much out there.
I've got the 1998 OLympia Flex magazine I'll have for sale soon and they said not
only was he lighter at 227 pounds but softer than the 98 ASC.
Here's some pics from my IG... ,I"ll throw in some 93 too.
Check the totally dry obliques although the lighting is not great.

I didn't make this and I think it's Flex from the 93 Olympia but you can tell
in his face he is super dry.

This is from some video footage. He looked like a cartoon character like Heath does but
so much better flow and aesthetics.

The biggest consciences is that if anyone out of other bodybuilders
had the Olympia physique it was Flex. IF you've got the 1998
VHS or DVD they are asking people who's gonna win after prejudging and I remember
around 1/2 saying Flex. Had Flex brought his 98 ASC version
to the Olympia I have a strong feeling he would have won.
He would have won the 1st round. The 2nd round would of been
much closer & he probably would of won the posing round.
The posedown may have decided it. Even though Flex wasn't the incumbant;
without Yates there he took that role and Ronnie knocked him out so to speak.
Striations across the delts. We don't see that much anymore.

I realize it's a 99 picture & it didn't get a lot of likes. My humor sucks!
