And Massimo Valli! Where is this contest being held?
-
Daryl Stafford returns? Cool! Where has he been all these years?
He took 3rd at the last Masters Olympia in 2003, when Claude Groulx won.
-
It looks like to between Bob & Pavol
-
LOL, I was thinking that too. Maybe Rusty Jeffers or Curly Top will take a distant 3rd & 4th, not necessarily in that order.
-
Quit being a sour puss! >:( How many times do you want to see the same old faces again and again: Ronnie, Jay, Dex, Shawn, Kevin, Gustavo, etc. YAWN!
Put on a happy face! :D Let them mix it up a bit with some new and not so new physiques. Maybe someone will surprise us. If the judging is fair (LOL) my money is on Pavol.
-

yeah the ronnie, dex, jay, darrem, gus is soooo boring
-
What happened to Claude Grouxl and Gary Strydom?
-
George Turmon will make a good showing.
Quincy Roberts? Oh brother. hahahaha

I'll tell you what is cool--Leon Brown's competitive career has spanned five decades! His first contest was in 1966. Wow.
-
What?? No Gary :( :( :( ??? ???
-
where's Claude Grouxl ?
-
just say Quincey guest pose...........looking alright :'(

Dude.....it almost looks like they built this contest for someone to win
(did I just say that?)
;D
-
I swear if Chic does not take 1st place after seeing that lineup then he better hang up the posing trunks.
-
BB.com is webcasting it live btw
-
Don't sleep on Big George.
-

Was thinking likewise. Jeffers has a good physique, and he should do well. But Pavol should win this one
-
Claude Groulx is in. I heard Willie Stalling is in too. Not sure about Strydom.
It's a decent lineup for a master's show.
-
Stalling and Pavol would be numbers 1 and 2 if Willie is competing.
-
Darryl Straford coool , and if Claude is going to be there even better !!!!
-
It is cool, that the IFBB, and a promoter, would put on a Master's Pro show, considering that we have not had one in a few years. Last year, everybody was asking, why no Master's Pro show - this year - we have one, and it is cool to see a lineup that will give some of the older competitors some justice. Of course, this show is not on the scale as an Ironman, San Francisco, etc, but it isnt meant to be. It is meant to showcase some other athletes that havent had their time to shine.
Now I have heard that Claude Groulx was entering this show, so I am surprised he isnt on the list. But let's not give it to Bob Chicherillo just yet - there are a few others that just might surprise you coming into this. We havent seen Pavol and a few others in a while...
-
I wonder why? "Chick is going to place 10th."
-
Good luck Bob! I'm sure you'll come out on top!
Sincerely,
Richard Jones
-
Good luck Bob! I'm sure you'll come out on top!
Hahha.. On top of who?
-
In addition to Chick, does anyone know who else will be competing in this weekend's Masters Pro?

I was wondering where ol' Johnny Stewart has been. No more Team U for Johnny. He could take it if He's not overlooked.
-
If Pavol shows up in his ultra hard shape its all over.........
-
I was wondering where ol' Johnny Stewart has been. No more Team U for Johnny. He could take it if He's not overlooked.
Johnnie is with Team Sprayflex now
"Before SprayFlex, Johnny was one of the best middleweights in the country. After his first five months on SprayFlex, at 40 years of age, Johnny dominated the Masters Nationals at 193 pounds, 17 pounds heavier than he ever competed, winning the Masters Nationals and earning his pro card. One year later, he weighed 204 shredded pounds, a 28 pound gain in less than 18 months, in taking second at the Masters Mr. Olympia!"

And there you have it - the complete list of competitiors. Looks like Bob should have a good chance at taking the thing. I'm tired now.
-
I wish Ronnie will come in and sweep away the first prize without any contest preps
-
Bob better win with this AARP lineup.
-
is bbing.com doing a live webcast of that show?
-
yes
-
Congratualtions Bob for winning the show.
-
bob chick, CONGRATULATIONS
-
bob chick, CONGRATULATIONS
on entering and winning a show with no real competition.
-
on entering and winning a show with no real competition.
On WAGERING upon and entering and winning a FIXED show with no real competition.
-
The Masters Pro is a great idea to bring back. Many of these guys still have the competitive drive and excellent physiques. Wait till you guys get to be 40 and over and still want to compete...then you'll have a lot less negative things to say.
-
I'd like to see Bob carrying on and doing a regular mens pro show since there are a bunch around the corner in May. That would be a real test of where his physique stands today.
Best of luck either way, this masters is shaping up to be a decent lineup. :)
-
Good Luck to Quincy Roberts and Johnny Stewart both representing NC. Quincy should have a great show as he always performs a quality routine.
-
Is there any prize money for this show? Because for the life of me, I can't imagine who'd pay to see this lineup. I'd rather see the PDI Masters show with Galanti, Taylor, and London. Oh, wait a sec...my bad.

Who's doing the commentary?
How about getting Mustafa to do it. I'm sure he would be impartial. ;D
total time logged in 1 day 2 minutes. I have wasted an entire day of my life posting here. talk about depressing :-\
-
as far as getbig goes..its Vince and Chic competing?
is that it?
-
so its Masters Pro competitor???
not masters olympia?
why?
-
They stopped calling it an "Olympia" after it degenerated from a rematch between icons of bb days gone by to a dumping ground of athletes who could only get a pro card by winning an NPC event for grand-fathers
-
Goodrum?

-
No relation

hahahahahahahahahahaha :)
-
It seems it will be between Pavol and Chic...
-
last year on BB Radio, Bob said he disagreed with giving pro cards to people who win the NPC Masters events - if they had stopped doing that, half of his "competition" wouldnt be eligible for this contest . . .
-

I think Ronnie should do the commentary. It will be a good jib for him after he retires. And how much is the prizemoney for this show has anyone said that.
-
thankee sai...
-
Bob beat Pavol??
You guys are trippin
-
Doesn't Joe Palumbo post here? When is the last time he competed?
-
And there you have it - the complete list of competitiors. Looks like Bob should have a good chance at taking the thing. I'm tired now.
Appreciate the effort. Good show man.
-
i know prejudging is at 1130 am EST, but when does the live coverage start? I figure they'll have interviews and whatno before the contest actually gets underway . . .

Last time I remember seeing him make a post was back when him & Milos were going at it
-
when did Nathan Wonsley turn pro?? that dude is over 40? he looks like he's barely in his 30s in that pic.
-
No way he can live this night down. EVER!
-
Yeah, winning a show. He must be so embarrassed. ::)

Did you watch that show or was your head buried in your boyfriends' crotch?

I doubt Cicherillo was in on the fix.
But he will probably take the heat for it, instead of the real dirtbags.

You guys think it was really fixed???!!! :-\ :o :-X
-
no he will never live it down he is corrupt and then giving away the peoples award to shawn ray golf show? LOL oh brother
-
You guys think it was really fixed???!!! :-\ :o :-X
Hey, they have to shield themselves from eating crow somehow.
-
I don't give a shit about insults.
As for the show, would he have more credibility if he placed fourth than first? Pavol has NO BACK. If he had even a decent back he'd be top 6 in the O, but when he turns around he disappears. Backs win in the IFBB. That's how it's always been.
You can say it's "fixed," but Bob just beat a lot of old men and scrubs. You can say he wasn't the most shredded (though it's hard to tell from that crappy webcast), but he was clearly the most complete physique up there. Everyone else looked broken down. Vince Taylor would've schooled him though.
And I don't see what the big scandal is about giving the $1000 to charity, and one that he actually works with. Would it have been better for him to keep the cash?
-
what r u a bob chick brownie?
-
Hah
Bob had to know that even if he won he wouldn't win the battle here..
-
what r u a bob chick brownie?
No, just one of us who has eyes. I knew this would happen. If Bob had lost, you guy's would have never ended the celebration. Now that he won, you scream fix. Typical of this forum and the lack of self esteem that's predominant here. Always have to have someone to blast, own, pw'n or attack.
-
A better question is "Does Bob Cicherillo care if he has any credibility on Getbig?".
If he's smart he doesn't.
-
Chick won the Masters O just 20 minutes ago.
He just won the show- and he's already on getbig censoring.
Talk about damage control!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMO, Cicherillo had the potential to win this show easily. He must've had some personal problems that set him back slightly, or simply just not have been focused enough the last year when preparing for this show. He underachieved. I expect much more of him.
I think Cicherillo could be one of the better guys. Just needs to do everything perfect.
Someone who is doing everything perfect, isn't looking like as smooth as Cicherillo actually did tonight.
It will be very interesting to see him doing the O, however. Should have every chance of being in excellent shape then.

If you watched that show you know Chick didnt win legitmately. What are you worried about, he won't come sign autographs at your store for the 6 queens that show up to see him?
-
Hey People :) ....just got back from the IFBB Master's Pro show in NYC..... man was that a long friggin show !!!!! It started at 6:30 and ended close to midnight !!!!! In any event here is the top 5 placings:
1. Bob Chick
2. Johnny Stewart ( i think he actually could have been first )
3. Pavol Jablonicky
4. Claude Groulx
5. Stan McCrary
-
Thanks for the breaking news. I guess the other 8 threads that told us the placings can all be retired now that we have the official word.
-

What store would that be genius? Now you really have me scratching my head.
I watched the show and agree that he was not the best conditioned but still give him the win for best OVERALL physique. That's what should always be the deciding factor. But what would I know, I've only trained with half a dozen pro's, interviewed a dozen more, trained along side 20 more and had lunch dozens of times with IFBB judges over the course of the last 28 years. I guess that makes me ill informed compared to you, genius and bodybuilding's walking encyclopedia that you are, right?
-
In fairness, he was trying to help. He probably didn't realize the show was being broadcast live.
I know but I couldn't resist.

Hedge you actually make some sense and I agree with you in part. I think Chic could
be better than he is and achieve more. He doesn't give himself ample time and has it in his head that he has to weigh 245 or better. I think another 4 or 5 weeks would put him in a better ranking.
He isn't doing the Olympia as he has a commitment to do the commentary of it for BB.com

MaxRep- I know this about you, It still wouldnt shed light to some of the folks here- well most of them- Being so ignoramus, judging, and critiquing pros fromt the monitor screen- Anyhow. Your right Bob, or anyone else for that matter should not give a rats ass about wha tmost these guys think or say- Just what the TRUE fans say, that come to the shows, and talk to them, cheer for them, etc..not the cyber loser trolls.
-
gee you're excellent at name calling. you sound real stable fella
