100 grams is plenty

I see lower than thought around the board so far 170-180 seems pretty sensible so that would mean we wasted lots of time money over the years if this is right

5 grams per pound of bodyweight

5 grams per pound of bodyweight
Unless you're on gear, then it's 10

Depends on the person.
Depends on the other macros and overall kcal requirements. Drug use plays a role as well.
Could be as little as a gram per pound or as high as 3 grams. Also carries theoughout a training cycle/diet.
There's no set amount. Figuring this stuff out for each individual person is what trainers coaches get paid to do

Have 50 a day or 250 and I bet you will look the same.

theore I look into it from a science point of view it is around 200 for a 250lb man tops

If you want the best science based answer see
what Lyle McDonald says.

Quit playing dumb, OP.
-
Start at 192 grams, add the year you were born to that to get your minimum amount of calories needed by 1pm everyday. Multiple your age as a percentage to that amount and you will have the exact number of grams of protein you must eat at each meal. Exactly. Half a gram more or less will just not work.

I forgot about that but my guess would be around 200 tops probably 175 I'll look
-
Lyle McDonald says maybe around 1.5 grams for a steroid user so he somewhat debunks the low protein sources but im not sure he is right as he says no one knows but bases his research on what bodybuiders do. So maybe 300 is not to much. But again hardly a concrete answer. Im still learning towards the 200g boat with bf everything else taken into account. He also states maybe 1.5 gram per lean lb of bodyweight which would be around 350 for a 300lb bodybuider im still not sure but leaning a little lower

I looked over it but he basically bases his on are info as no one really knows once steroids maybe around 3-400 is right I was hoping to get around that. Whats your personal opinions van b

You're a good dude chess so i will shoot it to ya straight
Blakely looked like this on 60 grams of protein a day
There are articles written by him where he talks about s, maybe i will find them a post them here for ya chief

To cut weight, when I'm heavy, I maintain less than 300 calories a day, and I begin doing 30 minutes of cardiovascular a day. No days off. I gradually build up to, believe it or not, 4 hours of cardiovascular training a day. I never go lower than 2500 calories. My protein intake is low, about 80 grams a day of protein. My fat intake is low, about 20 grams, and the rest is carbs, from any source. That is the 'amazing' diet plan that I used to lose 77 lbs in 12 weeks. The bottom line is - I burned it off. I went out walking, and I spent some time doing road work. That was good, though, because it gave me some time to myself. I used to walk 12 miles every day, sometimes more. It was good private time for myself. I used to do mental training, visualization, mental practice. I figure now I have lifted 730 lbs about 400 or 500 times - in my mind. It was a private, personal

1g/lb is probably enough
If I was on juice and wanted to gain as much muscle as possible I'd do 1.5g/lb, so like 300g/day, but that's just to be safe. Too much protein cant hurt muscle gains, so why not.
It is a pain in the ass to get that much protein in
-
1-2 grams per LBM not total lbs
-
Unless you're on gear, then it's 10
That’s fine for maintenance mode but for growth it’s about 20 grams per and precontest about 50 grams per to ensure you stop muscle loss.

https://bayesianbodybuilding.com/the-myth-of-1glb-optimal-protein-intake-for-bodybuilders/
Written in 2012 but no studies since then have shown any more then 1.8g/kg is beneficial.

The problem with a very high protein diet is you run the risk of high uric acid levels if you overdo it on red meats or certain shellfish. That can lead to kidney stones or gout if you are genetically predisposed. We evolved to eat fats first, carbs second and protein third. We just don’t need all that high a level of protein.
