Happens all the time, too. Now Pharma's made it easier to do than ever before. The line gets blurred for the person, between relieving pain and feeling good. Even without intending to abuse the prescription, and with no history of doing that, it happens.

Next thing you know, they're found "unresponsive" when someone goes to check on them. Then death.

Maybe. The "attempt" was an OD, so I'd be surprised if meds don't play a part in this as well.
