I. was at that show.  Red Bank, New Jersey.Yes...absolutely agree. The best he ever looked.Nobody had ever saw Kevin before. We were all blown away. But sadly Demayo was the favorite.

Wow that was an impressive line up. Leverone had great abs back then too, the complete package. Funny how a lot of these guys look their best ever before even turning pro.

He weighed 236 pounds that day and his legs were massive (also PRE-pec tear Levrone).

He was down to 233 pounds for the Nationals and then down to 225 pounds for the 1992 Mr. O. He was obviously cutting down, but this version of him (91 Jr. Nationals) he was at his largest and most impressive imo. This was when he was benching upwards of 600 pounds.

I was at that show also.  Paul was in great shape and was a little more dry than Kevin.  He had more quad sweep, but that's it.  Kevin had him everywhere else except maybe calves.  The crowd was went crazy over Kevin and no one would have complained if he took the class and overall.  Mike Morris competed in the next class down but didn't place.  Great show.

Levrone definitely did not out-quad Quadzilla

1991 was a bumper crop of new pros.  The depth of the heavyweight class at the '91 Nationals has probably never been seen since:

    1st Kevin Levrone
    2nd Ken (Flex) Wheeler
    3rd Paul Demayo
    4th Ronnie Coleman
    5th Matt Mendenhall
    6th Bob Cicherillo
    7th Chris Cormier
    8th Edgar Fletcher
    9th Dean Caputo
    10th John Sayegh

Chris should have been 6th and Bob 7th...Would have foreshadowed Bob's love of the number 7(Room 7 Mirage)

But he didn’t have the rear double bicep pose needed to win the Olympia. Bad genetics for that pose. Coleman made him look skinny in that pose.

You’re Still very sensitive about Levrone after all these years. Why care so much? It doesn’t help you or your family to worry about this guy.

I think if Levrone could have brought that lower body to the O stage he may have one or two Sandow's despite Dorian. I think he always looked far superior from the front. Maybe, his back being as thick as it was at the Jr. Nationals, would have allowed him to get a few Sandos. Amazing.

his legs were much better than this just a year later, they didn't become a weak point until 2000

he didn't win the O because of his back double bi, that was a weak pose for him

His front double bi wasn’t too good either but better than his back double bi for sure

I fear for his health at this age, still on the gas at full throttle

Should just keep trim and in shape, had a good career, he’s 53 now

his front double bi looked perfect at the 95 O, look at 5 seconds in

i greatly fear for his health, there is nothing to gain and everything to lose at this point

Sadly for Kevin hios best showing were Jnr Nationals, Nationals and his first Olympia, he was one guy who has he got bigger didn't get better.

Flex was the other one, 93 and then a handful of showings but never consistent

And he has a young son too, should really focus on him,  instead of trying to relive the dream that has already run its course

Guess whatever makes him happy and if he’s doing it for his supplement company, more power to him

i prefer his 92 body the most, that shape and conditioning is the best of all time in my eyes but no way that body or the nationals body beats him from 94 - 98

he would be considered too small

i think he's like 12 now, plays football

it's cool that he trains and is still big but he should stop trying to compete, he's not beating these guys and he shouldn't think he has to because his prime was better than all except maybe heath, i think heath's back would probably put him over the top

it's like pamela anderson now, she was arguably the best and still looks better than most but it would've been way cooler to be with her in the 90's

I don’t think it’s necessarily weak when he does the lat spread, it’s the double back bi, you can clearly see he lacked thickness and that 3d look

I’ve never seen Kevin do deadlifts, maybe that would have helped him or barbell rows

Was always a strong bencher first

That’s what I’m saying as well, should just train and keep in shape, like 2009ish

Like everyone and everything, time catches up and it’s silly to start having mid life crisis and I thinks it’s kind of selfish for him to think about himself knowing he has a child entering his teens soon
