from justin compton's instagram.
Has he addressed this publicly before? I know he had some health problems, and a lot of people (myself included) kind of thought of him as the other Dallas McCarver, especially after McCarver passed away. I checked in on his instagram every once in a while to see how he was approaching competing in the future and don't remember him saying anything like this before. It's sort of a non-committal statement, but my takeaway is that he doesn't plan to seriously compete in the near future.

Decided to shoot over and try out the new @cleaneatzjacksonvillefl today after some leg training. The Arnold burrito sure puts up a good challenge to the chipotle only a much healthier version. As a lot of you may know, my sole focus is no longer 100% bodybuilding but I still love it as much as I always do, when it’s it’s not your full time job, prepping meals can be in a pain in the butt. So I dropped in today to have my pwo here since it’s right up the road from where I train, and snagged a few meals to take home and try out the variety. I LOVE to eat, and I know how to cook well, I just hate doing it, so my meals are very generic and plain when prepared by myself so this is gonna be a breathe of fresh air to have some healthy flavor!

Smarter than we gave him credit for.

what happened to the old IFBB pro cross over to MMA fighter and nothing happens? more props to him...if he knows the right people he can network and get a job making decent money with a healthy lifestyle.

Compton has/had tremendous potential. I was looking through his IG and he brought the whole package, great wheels and one of the most complete backs on the pro circuit. I reckon Justin is even better than Dallas was and that is saying something. Really unfortunate if he has hit some health hurdles on the way but seems like he is doing the sensible thing and taking his time and letting his body heal and adjust.

I think you were looking at someone else. If had had what you stated (brought the whole package) he would be on top of the heap now. You could tell he was going to only be a mid pack guy if that at all. He grew too fast, and he looked like a shorter version of Wolf, with better calves, and was missing a lower back. And he looked unhealthy on stage. There were even people on here who have seen him in person and said that he looked and sounded unhealthy (when he was competing).
He actually looked better when he first started out. It's good that he took his foot off the gas, so to speak. It's better to quit it altogether and find another hobby, like rock climbing like Dave Fisher used to do.

??? A Wolf with better calves is a formidable physique. You can't really tell who's going to be a middle of the pack guy or not. He had a young career, he won some shows and placed well in others. He did age about 50 years in the span of half a decade, but from a bodybuilding perspective, he had the potential to be a top guy. If he had to choose between his health and some plastic trophies for his muscle suit, good for him for having the clarity to choose the former, though.

Yep, take a look at Wolf, similar shape, with the same lower back, and highish late. Justin had some good quads, though.

That means I think it's a good physique.

clicked on the link, he still looks red faced and balloned up. 29 years of peace...

Dave was abusing ephedrine and was getting too many injuries. That's the main reasons why he had to quit. In the early 90's people in gyms were popping those Dymetradine 25's like they were tic-tacs. Once in a while I took 1/2 tab pre-workout. My training partner was taking 2 tabs pre-workout. He now has many health problems.

but not clever enough to be able to make his own food taste nice?
-
Again one of those next big thing guy who didnt make it...
Remember Zack Khan ? Mc Carver ? Trey Brewer ? Fux ? Titus ? the list goes on and on and on
-
Smart guy. Gave it his all but at the end what's the point if you're going to be dead in 5 years. Easy to think you are invincible when you are 20 and will put anything in you.

What are the health problems he has from occasional 50mg doses of epdederine?

I used to take 1000 tabs a day if I felt a bit tired after taking my 33rd hourly bootcamp that day

If he’s ditched the thong competing, good for him. In today’s climate, it is an unwise move to pursue the “top spots”.
Just not worth it.

I think that Kai Greene is very lucky to still be alive. Things could’ve gone very badly for him in particular. I’d bet that he was doing much more drugs than both Heath and Dexter. Much more.

lol he used to won shows while being natural
he just have the freakiest craziest genetics you can think of, he doesnt have to abuse drugs to get big
the biggest abuser are the one compensating their genetics and those never make it anyway, at Olympia level you are talking top tier genetic elite

Heart issues?

Heart issues?
esfitness PHD incoming to explain why your friends heart problems and ephedrine usage are totally unrelated.
-
Sounds to me like he tried the olympia dose for a while and couldn't sustain it. Now he's scared and got out. The insecurity and mental illness is still very apparent though. He gets all bent out of shape at trolls on his instagram.
-
the insecurity is strong, hes going the fat twat route.
Simply cant cope with being smaller.

I don't think it's as reductive as bigger = more drugs = more likely to die.
