Thank you. Was just about to post a song, any song, to get out of the ditch some dumdum (me) crashed us into. I hadn't heard this one before, and wasn't necessarily down with the first several seconds of listening to it - but it turns out to be a really good, original sound. The girl is talented.

He was such a natural with that guitar, wasn't he? I can't think of too many others, no matter how talented, who seemed as "one" with it as he did.

Go to about 8:00 of the video. He used to superglue his fingertips back on. Appearing natural is from playing 6-8 hours a day for years. Perhaps the best blues guitar player of them all.

Yes, I'd say it's "practice" in the highest sense of that word.
His 51 Fender recently sold in Dallas for quarter-million. His brother gave it to him when they were kids, and it was used in his first studio work.

"Jimbo" is carved on the back.

Great thread, yeah. I "forced" myself to listen to that one before posting it (for X) and first several seconds were like "hmm, crap!" but it just goes to show. Always good to check out new music - so don't dismiss stuff too, too easily or you may run short.

Rally Round - Steel Pulse
Do What You Like - Blind Faith
^ I swear, when this one came to my attention (a couple of years ago) it hit me like no other song has ever done. I don't know why, exactly, but it was impossible for me to stop listening to it. Lmao, from morning until night for about a month - every chance I could get, I'd play it. Over and over and over, and it still gives me the same sense of appreciation every time.
Strange how it does that (to me) for some reason.
