McCabe, who was fired by Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Friday, was just two days away from retiring - putting him at risk of losing his benefits.

But several House Democrats are working to hire him for at least two days 'so that he can reach the needed length of service' to collect the full federal retirement funds he is entitled to.

Ehh, not surprising. If he really didn't do anything wrong it would be fucked up to take his bnefits two days before retiring.

Not surprising, Sessions, who was himself accused of "not having candor" under oath, fires someone or has them fired less than 2 days from retirement and not a peep from the Republicans about hypocrisy.

I think they will find McCabe to be a porcupine they don't want to play with. I'm surprised they did fire him instead of let him retire on one hand, but then knowing the Donald is a checkers player and not a chess player it doesn't surprise me he would want immediate gratification no matter the possible cost later.

Yes, disgraced unfunny comedian Al Franken accused Sessions of lying about a sinister meeting with "the Russians" while Sessions was a Senator.   ::)
