I turned off the interview when he said he could prevent bad joints with vitamins and looked so proud of himself for saying that. Rick's joints were ground down to dust from years of lifting heavy with the assist of steroids. I bet Franco's joints are no better.

Franco’s still bandwagoning the dumb cigar thing Arnold rode in the ‘90s. Only met Columbu once and he was a tiny tit. Like, seriously small and frail. Personality of a deceased gnat.
He bought his chiropractor licence, as well. Total sham. “Doctor”. LOL
The guy’s always been OK, but so much about him is horseshit. Like his strength feats. Franco was strong, but he couldn’t lift what the magazines, etc. claimed.
And his second O win is arguably the worst decision ever in the contest’s history. Arnold made that one happen.
Truthfully, I’m amazed the Sardinian Sampson is still alive.
The years have not been kind to his legacy, that’s for sure.

I cant believe people are knocking this guy, sure, he had a lot of help from Arnold, that's what friends do for each other.
Guy had a solid build and was freakishly strong so he should appeal to both ends of the spectrum.

Columbu should've focused more on powerlifting, where he would've been one of the giants. As a bodybuilder, he was the most over rated ever. The Arnold connection is what helped politicize him to the top.

idk why all the hate on Franco. He might have been a jerk (I've never met the guy) but physique-wise, he had a sick chest and back that were miles ahead of anyone else in his era (except for his buddy Arnold).
That being said, he should have placed no higher than 5th at the 1981 Olympia.
