I'm no expert on this but I think the republicans focusing on a physical wall to solve the issue is a waste of money. From what I understand, if you are in this country illegally, you can attend public schools and receive some government aid. Why is that? Why not stop giving illegal immigrants ANYTHING for free and see if that doesn't slow down the number coming across?

This has puzzled me for years. In Texas, an illegal immigrant can get a Texas ID card. Kids go to school for free, and of course health care is a trip to the E.R. Stop ALL the freebies tomorrow and it would have a noticeable impact in my opinion. With this policy, you aren't spending billions on a wall that may not work..you are immediately saving money.

It’s hardly surprising they are going to keep arriving in big numbers
As you say cut the freebies to them
When they are found send them back at their expense
That would likely have a impact on the numbers.
