Over 8 months after his death, Rich finally gets a headstone.
.
-
Have you been lurking outside the graveyard this whole time?
-
I agree his headstone should have been premade by 2005 at the very latest. They would only need to enter his date of death.
Sounds like poor funeral planning by Rich.
-
My great grand parents are buried there. Rich Pianas grave should be much wider ;)

I still can’t believe he’s gone

I still can’t believe he’s gone
He was a bigger than life character. He made his own image, large bizarre and near circus like. He was fun to watch and made for good entertainment. Never knew him personally yet he seemed like a cool guy.

Kind of a pauper’s grave for a 5%er. At least it’s not two popsicles sticks taped together because no 5%er’s grave should be mistaken for somebody’s pet hamster’s

This.
I have never actually watched more than a couple of minutes of his videos, but it seems except for a couple of people, people seemed to say he was a cool guy. in person. yes alot of people wanted to meet him etc because of the freak factor, but you don't have huge lineups at expos consistently if you don't have personality and interact well with your fan base

your gum must have been good

Wonder how the battle over his money is going..?
-
How long until Texaco gets the drilling rights to the graveyard?

I knew that Rich was a nice guy from the first day I met him - who lets some skinny geek in a tank top interview him out of the blue like this? I honestly wonder if the people trashing him actually ever met him, or bothered to speak to him at all. He was a tolerant and agreeable person.
Given that speaking for five minutes made Rich get short of breath, I feared for his health from that day on...keep in mind he was 297-lb during the Mr. Olympia expo in 2012 as seen here...but despite his health choices, he was a friendly guy to speak with. Also, consider that he did have what has been termed "Bigorexia" - the male version of anorexia...and it IS a disease/disorder - just one that nobody cares about since it almost exclusively affects men.

And yet he didnt die due to health related issues from the bodybuilding lifestyle.

depends what time of day the interview took place, Matt varies by a few millimetres during the course of a day.

I dunno... Id put my money on the adderall he was snorting, which is likely what that powder on the table was.
People who use opiates regularly and are.somewhat savvy in how they work/work best know the BA of oxy is much higher when taken orally, not insufalated. I'm sure rich knew that. Plus the only oxycodone IR (not the oxycodone CR or oxycontin) that's white would be the little 10mg tabs,& rich likely wasn't opiate naive and would need a somewhat large amount to feel anything. Likely 40 or 60 mg Plus, which would snorting a shitload of powder to the point is nostrils would likely be Caked up and plugged.
... Got interrupted typing this col hrs ago & forgot what I was gonna saubnext

I'd put my money on the stims too.

They note they never received the toxicology reports so could only go by what they saw and his history. That said cardiomegaly is emphasized and that can cause arrhythmia's especially with the use of stims.
Speculation but the evidence points to this with the sudden fall and the heart stopping.

I still can’t believe he’s gone
I cant believe he lived as long as he did...
What an idiot he was-

WE are each responsible for the most part especially as adults on what we are doing with our life in terms of health, wealth, and how to guide ourselves through lifes up and downs,on a health standpoint rich took his body to a reckless extreme it make you wonder what kind of family life or support he had, I grew up in an american Italian family and I know my father would have had my head if I lost my way then again he raised me to be somewhat 'normal'in terms of lifes decisions..

Yada yada... He still died at 47 which is not very cool at all. What really did him in? Was it to much roids? Pain pills? Adderal? Ive never really got a good answer.

This is like asking what exactly killed the Challenger astronauts...several answers.
-
My Granmother who died in 1993 still hasn't got one. I cant fucking afford it, I'm the only one left.

Being terminally stupid is what did him in.

It's a death related to the bodybuilding/fitness industry, which means you'll never get a straight answer.

What a blah headstone. They couldn't do better than that? Even my mothers had a red rose engraved on it.
Someone cheaped out and didn't think Rich was worth the extra buckaroos.
