I was going to go to the show.....but I had to take an unexpected flight up to Seattle for work related business on Saturday. Was looking forward to it....as,it usually turns out to be a fun day and relaxing.

Just got back. Had a great time, met a lot of good people and ran into some that I haven’t seen in over 30 years. My long time friend Doug Brignole was also a judge. Doug and I go back as far as 1976 in our Bill Pearls gym days. Silvio Samuel guest posed, holy shit!!
Look like I’ll be back to help judge the July 4th show

COACH, Do the names Solo ElFenzy and/or Rob Johnson or Wayne Bouvier sound familiar to you?
They were all members of Bill's Pasadena Gym when Doug was a young kid training there.
And many others whose names I have since forgotten.

Yep, I remember all of them. You were close on Solos last name, it was El Faizy. After Brian bought the gym from Bill (and ran it into the ground until it closed) both Rob and Wayne switched to Astro gym in San Gabriel along with myself. Drew Pinsky (aka: Dr. Drew) came over with us as well.
