Love Kevin's imitation of Ronnie. I know he gets a lot of shit on here bit i love Ronnie. He seems like such a happy up beat guy no matter what the circumstances. Always has that big bright smile. Had a work ethic like no other. Even Jay commented when travelling with Ronnie how disciplined he was and then said that after spending time with Ronnie and saw how he was like that he had to really up his game if he was ever going to win the O. (OK, flame away at what a loser you think he is).

I think Kevin Levrone would like to have that one back. Because, if I remember the rest of the story correctly, Levrone had won six straight Grand Prix shows overseas. They were going into the final one, when he had this sit-down with Ronnie Coleman.
The vodka helped Coleman dry out and, as a result, Coleman beat Levrone for that final show, preventing the clean sweep for the Maryland Muscle Machine.
Isn't it funny how both Flex Wheeler and Kevin Levrone helped Ronnie Coleman to ultimately beat the both of them to become Mr. Olympia (Flex Wheeler with the "Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin D; and Kevin Levrone with the vodka thing)?

Coleman’s back was literally twice the size of Levrone’s. Little Kev never had a chance.

Kevin had him on chest, despite his horrific injury due to a braindead attempt at doing 5 plates to show off to his friends. Coleman's pecs always looked like he'd hung curtains off his nipples while a strong wind pulled at them from the back.

Of course "better" when it comes to bbing is a subjective determination but in regard to pure muscle mass, Coleman had one of the most developed chest ever. Kevin's chest is huge when standing alone but when side to side with Coleman the difference is glaring. Kevin also had ridiculously huge arms but again compare the right arm with Coleman's as they are both in a similar position.

That's the most 'natural' I've seen Levrone talk - usually he's trying too hard to be deep and meaningful or whatever.... but comes across as robotic most of the time...

Kevin said he stopped drinking alcohol but recently when he was in Australia he had a bottle of Jack Daniels and also some gear just next to him... Cant find the pic now though.

It's actually funny that Doltman's most responsive (to illegal drugs) body part is now causing him to undergo countless surgeries and will ultimately put him in a wheelchair for life. LOL

Yes, but Dexter won the Olympia being 70lbs smaller than the next closest to place. I agree that modern BB put a huge emphasis on pure mass, but once in a while they gave credit to someone who just brought a better, fuller, less saggy or GH-gut swollen package. It was never meant to be about having the biggest body parts. Ronnie's chest was bigger because his clavicles were wider and he responded phenomenally to drugs. But I would honestly say guys like Kevin or DJ, who were smaller, crushed him on chest and abs.
Fair point. I never cared for Ronnie's ab structure and think Kevin had a more aesthetically pleasing physique but whatever the reasons one thinks I'm just pointing out the never before seen muscular development on Ronnie. Just pure, unenhanced by synthol, dense muscle.

They were basically the same size back in the late 90s. Again, Kevin won 6 straight European Grand Prix shows before that vodka thing. Ronnie won that final show to end Kevin’s streak.

Nah. It was a bubble that existed from 1994 to about 2001. I don't know how to explain it other than bodybuilding really started in the 1960s and reached its logical peak of maturity, popularity, genetic elite, and entertainment value in its 'adulthood' phase, which I guess was 30 years later. Now it's experiencing the same decline in quality of competitors and view-ability as an elderly man in irreversible decline. Yeah, yeah, social media, YouTube bodybuilding stars, steroid busts, 'physique' divisions, etc. came along. But had that been the case in 1995, it wouldn't have made Kevin or Shawn or Mike Mazz less interesting. They were creatures of their time for sure, but if they existed today, they'd be far more popular than the prick currently holding the Sandow. Phil Heath is without a doubt the biggest asshole the industry has ever seen. I don't even know him and I really, truly hate him. But hey, let's keep letting him win while sidelining other qualified bodybuilders so that people can ignore the contests some more.

That’s just a generational thing. Guys from Arnold’s days were slamming the Levrones and Coleman’s of the late 90s and early 2000s. And guys from Harold Poole’s day accuse Arnold and his crew of going too far, ding “all drugs”, not being physical culturists, etc.
