The reason I ask is because I don't see people reading newspapers anymore. Seems as though their self-imposed role of keeping the powers-that-be in check is gone. Their partisanship is now obvious for everyone to see.
I stopped reading The New York Times years ago because I would find four or five mistakes and write to them. Of the hundreds of mistakes I told them about, they only acknowledged one or two.
This past Sunday, while at a Starbucks, the NYT was just there on one of the racks and I opened it... first article, two mistakes.
When and how did it become THIS bad?

fuck no, each paper has there own agenda, mostly liberal bull shit.
-
I read the crime blotter portion of the locals online, then I pop into Twitter. I read the treading headlines, sometimes an article that is linked off a post, but physically buying a newspaper? No, I probably haven't done that in a decade.
-
I just call George Soros directly and ask him what he's paid to have published that day
-
All leftist garbage pushing the agenda.
-
I only read the paper when I want to see what lies they are telling. To study the enemy.
-
news are nowadays available online
please get with the program
-
You'll observe that many online news sites had to close down their comments sections, because most users were posting about how the stories were lies ;D
Mainstream news really is dead. They LOSE MONEY and are only propped up by government funding as propaganda outlets.

This is precisely one of the news stories I wrote to TNYT about... A few years ago I read that infant mortality rates in Venezuela were "greatly overblown" in The New York Times, so I wrote to them that they weren't overblown at all and that they (as well as the author of the article) were to look at the infant casket numbers that were making their way through the Colombian border because the Venezuelan government 1) prohibited hospitals from releasing infant mortality rates and 2) prohibited any funeral entity from talking about the matter. EVERYONE in Venezuela was forced into silence. Meanwhile, the local Colombian woodworking companies right next to the border were making a killing (no pun intended). It wasn't because the Venezuelans didn't have any money, it was because they were being forced into starvation by an animal of a human being.
There are now recorded cases of cannibalism in Venezuelan jails as well as in remote villages.

People are literally being starved to death by communism.
And what did TNYT have to say about it 3-4 years ago? Not much. Usual socialistic bull shit story. NOW (to save face instead of coming out and apologizing for covering up the obvious) they're putting out 6-page reports, now, that the carnage is close to culminating and the communism massacre is about to take a violent turn. NOW.

Dude, someone has to come out and just go "Time out. Time. The. Fuck. Out!"
This is just insane. Not information, it's intentional misinformation.

Newspapers are becoming extinct. I've maintained a subscription to The Oregonian for decades. It used to be an independent newspaper that is now owned by Advance Publications media group. Its gone from a 7 day a week delivery to 4 days a week. Much of the news is redundant news stories written for publication all over the U.S. Many times I toss it in the recycle without reading it. Each time the subscription comes up for renewal, I tell myself to cancel it, but haven't followed through yet.

Do you find yourself starting conversations with a general "Hello everybody Tres taco combo here", and working this and that into discussions?
If you may need to have an intervention because you're in the beginning stages of AGV (Aquired Goodrum Vernacular).

The standards for journalism has gone down. It seems that proofreading, and even using spellcheck is an afterthought. Just take a look the articles online---go to any of them, even CNN. It's pitiful.
-
I try to anticipate the news Brian Stelter would want me to read and comply with that.
-
Only the sports section.

I was just joking bro, I've watched a couple Goodrum videos and he uses here and there a lot.

I subscribed to the New York Post (the only non-liberal girl rag in my area) for years and loved reading it cover-to-cover. But I found myself skipping it more often than not to save time and get out of the house faster and grabbed the headlines and whatever article piqued my interest online. So I ended up cancelling the hoe delivery. I don't read as much with the online version but get the news.

As long as anyone is paying for cable tv, netflix, amazon, or theatrical movies, you are FUNDING bolshevik genocidal monsters like this to bully and ridicule you and others into their own hateful world view by calling you "racist", "sexist", "misogynist"..... :P

LOL. I wouldn't have cancelled it in that case.
