This sort of thing shouldn’t be rewarded. Basic human decency should be normal.

This whole, "X did a good thing and it gives me hope in humanity" is the dumbest saying ever.
People are doing good things all the time, every day. One isolated act shouldn't renew hope in humanity, as millions of good deeds happen all the time.
The media just shows ALL the bad crap so the sheeple continue to watch, give them views, and more money. No one wants to watch good deeds. They want to watch chaos, destruction, mayhem, death and murder, so that is what is shown.

The same people that are doing good are often doing bad as well, whether enough so to end up on TV or not. There's very few legitimately "good" people that only give and never take, or don't shoot at something then claim they feed poor children.

Define “doing bad?”
Everyone does good and bad deeds. In that sense, there is never such thing as a legitimately good person.

Once again, you folks prove you have no capacity to take something like this at face value. One way or the other, you manage to trash positive posts.... very SAD.

You're right. I'm finally beginning to realize how much I don't fit in here. It's only taken me 14 years. Obviously, I am a slow learner.

That's my point, there aren't any.
It's okay; most people in society, and by most I mean 98%, feel our world is inhabited by inherently 'good' people, themselves included, and will eschew any discussion that suggests otherwise. The delicate psychological scaffolding they've built around this biggest of delusions is somewhat akin to the alternative reality religious people flourish in. Any attempt to dislodge them from the mental prison they've voluntarily enclosed themselves in is bound to result in salvation-army attractions, mass fits, showground-stall bell-ringing and dervish-like repetition of monotonous slogans til everyone is foaming at the mouth. That, in a nutshell, is life in the United States.

Meh, take it for what it is.
Once you realize that most getbiggers are scared of their own shadows, you realize what a joke this place is and just roll with the punches.
