Awkward lip syncing, awkward posing, and odd facial expressions (impressive physique though). Starts posing at roughly 1:17. Sorry if this is a re-post.

Dillett has unbelievable response to gear. That’s basically all there is to the guy.
His workouts were beyond pitiful.

Not an Olympian physique. Priest owned him.

He posed for almost four minutes. Wich modern pro poses more than a minute? Without colapsing?

Well Dillet was the originator of collapsing on stage so modern pro are just doing what he started at a more extreme level.
-
Damn he was like a cartoon. Wouldve loved to see him in a pagaent against Phil Heath.
-

I’ve heard his workouts (if they can be called that) were woeful,
Have you seen his training sessions?
We’re they that poor.

There are some on vid. When he trained back on the lat pull down machine, all he did was pull down the light weight, no squeezing, just up-down.
-
A great responder!
Great choice of music as well.
I understand why he was called Freakenstein, not only due to his freakish muscles but also due to his shape of his skull.

Low weight because he’s utilizing constant tension and focusing on the mind-muscle connection.

Dillet was an absolute freak! My jaw just dropped when I first saw him in person at Gold's. This was during the early 90s when Flex, Cormier, Baker, Strydom, Ray, and others were strutting around but Dillet was the one that stood out. I wasn't following bbing during that time so I didn't know how these guys ranked in the sport. Flex stood out in the sense that he seemed so flawlessly put together, but when he stood next to Dillet -- Dillet was just so huge that Flex disappeared. Also, Dillet had no discernible flaws in the sense of any muscle group so lacking when compared to the rest of his physique like, say, Wolf's calves or Strydom's back. For a guy that tall his quads and calves were mind-blowing. And he had a back. A massive back. His lats jutted out more than anybody there. He just didn't have the detail that a few others had. But it certainly was not a weak spot. And his structure was also perfect for a person so tall. No bow legs, narrow shoulders, wide hips.
He did train like a puss. I wonder what he could have accomplished if he had some fire in him. I think he had better natural genetic gifts than any other bber that ever existed including Ronnie, Arnold, Oliva.

Lightweight Baby!

Yet he dissapeared standing next to prime ferrigno, there used to be a pic floating around where Dillet is dwarfed by Big Louie

When I first got to Gold's, around 90-91 I would see Lou and looked healthy but obviously retired. Then there came a time when he started getting big very fast. I didn't
see him regularly like I did Dillet so it was so dramatic the change in such a short time.
In a matter of months he was a monster. When you consider who won the O after Arnold retired in 75, not counting 1980, Lou would have dominated that era making that coveted 8 wins easily. Arnold would probably have still won in '80 but it would have been an even bigger travesty if Lou kept improving from his condition in '75 when he was just
23 years old.

Yup. Paul was huge but Louie was huger.
-
It’s true. For a “tall” man, Dillet’s lower body was amazing. Possibly only second to Strydom’s.
I saw both him and Louie in person, in their prime (at their largest), in the gym, and Ferrigno, while simply massive (sheer brickhouse physique) and quite tall, wasn’t as “freaky” as Dillett.
Having said this, Loutard looked ever-so-much more powerful.

LOL
Dillett couldn't connect mind/muscle connection at all. His workouts were just simply poor. Nothing else.

Dillet 93' owns little Priest .

True. Lou made Dorian look small not so much Paul. And I dare say that I think Paul looks better than both of them in this shot.

Clearly Lou is a very large man
Look at the size of his Head & hands
He looks more a muscular Strongman type physique in that pic.

Paul is also about 20 years younger than Lou.
If Lou was 25 in 1993, Dorian, Paul, Kevin, and Flex could’ve been in trouble

Possibly so.... All If’s
What if he’d continued on after 75 Olympia.

Ferrigno would have had like 10 mr.O before reaching his peak , mid 30's.
-
Dillett was one of the worst posers ever. I wonder how much this had to do with him never being able to achieve great conditioning. In that vid, he's twitching every other second, looks like a epileptic with a bad cocaine addiction. God knows how much T3/T4 and diuretics he did to somehow balance the fact he could never diet (and train) properly.

Paul is pulling a Philsulin " standing on front of line .(closer to audience) . and yes, he is crushing both Louie and Dillet ,he was at his best in 93, never to duplicate that shape .
WoooSHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

And if Arnold had Not Retired How many would he have Won
Would Louie ever been able to beat Arnold.

We've seen what Lou looked like at 25. All the guys above would've waxed him.

Lou used growth and insulin and fucked up his physique. Looked best in 83 for Hercules.

No he most certainly didn’t
He did in 1980 & Won The Mr.O Again
And learnt to stay retired.
When was the last time Louie won the Mr.O - oh he didn’t so making a successful & winning return
Wasn’t a Likely outcome was it.

Lou was off that year. I think that's the year he got the flu a few weeks before the show or something like that. he looked better the year prior? or maybe it was the year after.

Are you serious ? , Arnold made a "comeback" at age 33 .....he wasn't in his 40's standing against Dorian and Dillet both at their best ....
Besides I'm not sure why are you bringing Arnold to a Paul Dillets 90's thread ......
Just picture Ferrigno at 325 ripped facing the competition Arnold had in 1980 . lol
WoooSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Arnold had no need to compete into his 40’s He’d proved he was the GOAT.
Lou was wel out of place next to Dorian & Dillet
Just looked like a amateur - other than his height & skeletal size that all that was big.
Arnold’s relevance is that he would of looked & fared much better than Lou.
Lou choose to go the hulk route & good for him,
In bodybuilding terms though his legacy is a bunch of what ifs & imagine him like this or that.
Wooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooosshhhhhh

Simple. He wasn't likable, and unlikable people don't go very far in life. People will vote for whoever charms them or makes them feel appreciated as a fan, not the guy who spent 10 years in Arnold's shadow and decided to turn himself into a lab experiment one more time just to impress himself and random women who'd stop him to ask if they could touch his arms while he strolled around in West Hollywood.

Lou just looked & sounded Dumb to me. The Hulk was just Right for him, never had to open his mouth. No Charisma either.

The smaller joints, such as those of Paul Dillett look better for bodybuilding, more dramatic with better lines.

your trolljutsu is weak
He had side triceps, dillet owned the front

Doubt it. Remember Lou had questionable calves. More questionable than Flex’s! And we are assuming that Lou would have a different mindset. Arnold beat Lou first in the mind, Arnold had a winning and charismatic mindset. Lou didn’t.
I’d say Lou would have a been just like Chris Duffy, a big overly hyped dude who amounted to nothing really.

Wether Arnold did or didn’t need to compete is irrelevant
The Fact is He did & He Won
Louie Didn’t Win as was nowhere near going to Win.
Arnold’s relavance in this thread is Just like Dorian & Dillet
They were all streets ahead of Louie.
Louie All if & buts imagine this or that. ::)

Lou was way better than Chris Duffy. Duffy had terrible arms. As Mike Quinn said about Duffy: “he has the legs of a heavyweight and the upper body of a middleweight” (or something like that)

Paul 1993..... 25 years later and still unmatchable dimensions .
WOOSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH TA NAKA
