You can't have it both ways.
This is what happens when someone takes all the credit.

For those of us with the ability to read between the lines... it is clear things are different under Trump
“Under all four administrations I have worked under, we have separated families for different reasons," Provost told Hill.TV's Buck Sexton on Wednesday on "Rising."
"Obviously, the welfare of the child is of utmost concern for us. And we are still separating if that is of concern. If the parent or the guardian has a serious, criminal history, we will still separate them as well," she continued.
So, if under Obama, children were separated from the parents because the parent had a serious criminal history, Trumpsters feel that is the same as separating children from parents for seeking asylum, or merely attempting to come into the US.

Semantics to large degree.
The reasons may well be different
The Fact that family separation went on & goes on isn’t.
Don’t want to run the risk of being separated from your children
1, Don’t cross into America illegally
Or
2, choose a different country to go to with more lax illegal entry laws
Simple.

You can't have it both ways.
That's right, liberals are the only ones that get it both ways. ;)

People want to pick and choose the starting point of this "family separation" narrative.
If these people would not intentionally break the law and illegally cross in the USA (often multiple times), then their families would never get separated.
They would be at home, on their Mexican couches, watching stupid Mexican television shows this very day.
Mexicans are the ones separating their families not Trump, or Obama, or Bush, or Clinton or whoever. Cry me a jar full of tears.
