Not to be confused with Greg “The Hammer” Valentine. Jim was a mess on Total Divas (no homo). Pot belly, heavy breathing and seemed to slur his words like he was drunk or pilled out. In other words, a true getbigger!

Thought it would be a heart attack, but it seems he fell and cracked his dome in his living room.

Nothing to do with drugs or alcohol.  Between playing pro football and wrestling,  head injuries and concussions are the cause.

Ummmm he was in rehab twice, so I’d say it has something to do with the latter. Head injuries are no joke, but lets not play dumb here.

Wow Jim is high as fuck in that video.

Of course his death was drug related. Brett only a few months ago was pushing for Jim to get inducted in the HOF because he knew he probably didn’t have much time left due to the drug abuse.

He’ll need to hasten his prep if he hopes to be in the running for the Sandow.

Holy cow, dude’s painful to watch there. SO tripped. No wonder he’s done dead.

I’ve lifted with Bret. He’s a balanced and stoic guy. I’d imagine the proclivities of some wrestlers have always chafed him. Here, it’s obvious he is not digging Jim’s condition.

His demeanour is very troubling, not to mention his sweating, etc.

Jim looks like a meth head on a 4 day binge. He also has that purple near death look to him. Sad.

Bret's discussed the drug binges Jim and their brother-in-law Davey Boy Smith would go on when they lived near each other in Florida.

Davey died much younger at 39. I think he may have had a more extensive history of drug use. He started a long, steady use of steroids shortly before becoming the British Bulldog, and formed a serious morphine addiction after developing a staph infection from an injury in the ring. And, that was after the hard partying he and a lot of those guys did during the "cocaine years" of the 80's.

Brett bitched about having to babysit Jim when they were a tag-team, making sure he wouldn't  go overboard, put him to bed, etc......and he got tired of it as it was impeding his own career.

In his book, Bret went into details about Jim's drug habit and his hard partying lifestyle.

Bret also said he was a natural born powerhouse too.

All of the drugs and hard partying were due to pain in my opinion.   But in any event, sad situation

I think the "Anvil" nickname came from him winning an anvil-throwing contest.
