i get the feeling we're dealing with a lot of basement bodybuilders here, the word cheap comes to mind, any of you frequent any high class gyms that charge a lot for membership?
i myself feel the time for hardcore dungeons is over, nowadays im looking to train at gyms with spas, steam rooms, towel service etc
im also dressing up for the gym, wearing the latest gym fashion!

Ive paid $75 a month for a gym membership - but I get the same workouts now for $25 a month. The $75 place was super clean, lots of extras like an in-house cafe, climbing wall and pool, etc. But all I want these days is a place with weights and a few machines...

$10 a month at Planet Fitness. Open 24/7. Always clean. Regular people don't compete for equipment. All essential equipment to train and as I get older more machines I've come to appreciate.
For $20 a month you can tan and other perks.
Hard to beat unless you have a World Gym nearby which is more bodybuilding-friendly.

I pay $0 (that means "FREE") as a result of a damn good med insurance plan.
But there is/are a chain of gyms which cost $125 a month here in LV. Lifetime Fitness is the big one, I believe.)
A very classy gym chain with swimming pools that rival Disneyland (sorta).
And the proper term for these new joints is "Athletic Club".

YEA, RATHER! I's a good deal. And one of the small things I like about it, I can lose every ID I ever possessed or even lose my mind and forget who the hell I was or am .. and still get in ... as long as I can recall my cell phone number and then place my index finger on that little, shining red window thing!
All of that which I stated above means that you can be drunk as shit and still get in and do your best to sober up in the steam room.
A lot of Las Vegans try that (not me of course!)... but it never works!

The most I ever paid was 65 bucks a month, 20 years ago. Posh gym, lots of young girls just starting their careers. The gym had mma classes, yoga, boxing, cycling, dance, and a huge cardio section. All the stuff that bring in the women. Today I work out at a discount chain, Fit4Less. 10 bucks a month base membership, 24/7. I'm there at 4:30 am so the gym is basically mine.

OP decided to lift, and thought it was for free. ::)

1 500€/year. Was a pretty sweat spot. Lots of nice girls. New place: a bit less than 1 000/ year. It's right next to my office and with my work schedule, it's worth it.
