Just saw Mission Impossible 5. I didn't even realize there was a part 4 that I missed, but the good thing was that it didn't feel like I had missed anything from the storyline that the movie didn't catch me up with. Dude is a nut job but can make a good movie still. Very action packed, junk food for the brain type movie. I am not sure of the last time I saw something in the theater, Deadpool 2 I think, but this was good.
Now the bad. There is an agenda being pushed. The movie previews I saw were all either terrible, or they are trying something new. Evidently white male actors can't carry a lead in Hollywood anymore (not sure if it is because of a mass exodus of whites from the movies, or if the execs are just trying something different because ticket sales are down?) but it certainly was something I was not prepared for. I can't believe some of the shit it looks like they are coming out with. No wonder no one wants to go see any of it, it's crap. Aquaman, the fuck?

That an agenda is being pushed is evident and has been evident for years, didn't you hear about the all-female Ghostbusters movie few years ago? The Greatest American Hero-series reboot with an indian female as the lead?
The Troy-remake with a black Zeus, Achilles etc? :D

For at least 40 years of my life I really can't recollect ever stopping watching a movie or reading a book because of the annoying PC / identity politics being pushed on me. These days at least 10% of books and 50% of movies are unbearably annoying.
Maybe it's just me being a miserable old cnut.

No, i share this sentiment as well, but then again i'm an old fart as well.
I guess you need to be a Millenial to enjoy the current state of society and media-content that is being released.

Gentlemen, it's a truth that if the history of your people is one that is bereft of accomplishment, if it's more riddled with Ripple than bubbling over with Dom Perignon, then you're highly likely to steal that of another people. Don't believe me? Look at the delusion of Wiggs.
How can the story of Little Sambo of Color compare to that of Achilles and the sacking of Troy? It doesn't. Ergo, you steal the latter (and grander) of those two by laying false claim to it. One can only image how Wiggs will tell the tale of David and Goliath, with David being the image of Gary Coleman and Goliath being portrayed as a Biblical example of Donald Trump with Acromegaly and a thirst for fat bottom black women with pinched nose jobs and blond hair like BeOnce from the "lost tribe" of Hoobeboo.
That would be right down there with a white person portraying Martin Luther King but I doubt that the excuse of "it's acting" would, as they used to say, "pass". Personally, I would be glad to see a film on the life of Aretha Franklin. I watched the one on James Brown and it was quite good. Some accomplishments are greater than others simply because while some make money others make more sense. Especially when it's to the betterment of all of us, be it via song, inventions or self sacrifice.
The problem with cucktards is that they want to divide us by what makes us "different" instead of uniting us with what makes us all the more special. We're Americans. MAGA indeed.

While I believe in diversity and changes , I feel Aquaman should have remained a blonde white dude .... the new guy looks like a serial killer .

I actually did like him in a movie called “Collateral”. His character was alpha... quiet, confident, and skilled. The movie co-starred Jamie Foxx. They both displayed QUALITY acting. The movie was not over the top, but it had enough action to be MEMORABLE (unlike Mission Impossible).

Liked him in Oblivion.

I enjoyed that film and another one of his called, "Edge of Tomorrow".

Most likely he has given most of it to the whacked out "religion" he pays to be in.

This is the craziest nightclub shooting scene in any film, and I include The Terminator in that category. For the entirety of the clip, he's in full control, stalks the target and his entire security detail in the club expertly and takes his time silently mingling with the crowds while an equally-talented Jamie Foxx stumbles across the room and tries to meet the target he's supposed to shoot, while avoiding the police and security (he's a cab driver). Fucking awesome scene. The other scene where he smokes those two wiggers actually locks you into Tom for the remainder of the movie and you can't help but respect everything he says or does until the climax of the film. He may be insane and a lot of other things but he's a top-notch actor. Not a lot of people could pull these two scenes off like he did.

Why see a 1.5hr movie when you can watch 5 seasons of a tv show in a monthly fee.
Awesome TV Shows are what is killing the movies. it's great for consumers bad for uber wealthy movie studios.
Even youtube has some cool professiknal channels (Motor trend kills Top gear by a long shot).

Got any anti-American quotes attributed to the people on Netflix's programs or other streaming mediums that broadcast TV shows? Probably not, right?
Now, contrast that with Hollywood where Robert De Niro uses expletives on TV and a commencement speeches at ivy league colleges to insult and ridicule our sitting President. Or Alyssa Milano starting this "MeToo" bullshit that feeds of the idiocy of the world's insecure and man-hating women. I could go on, as Hollywood is replete with loudmouth left-wing bigots who hate the country and forcefeed their views to the American public or got named & shamed for disturbing personal behavior (i.e. Weinstein and the 50 others from H-town).
People are tuning out of the movies because they're repelled by a 2-hour snooze fest featuring 'stars' that trash everything they love and care about.

Can't wait to see Rebecca Ferguson again.

DC really needs to cast her as Catwoman.
