Long story short, I was given a week-long prescription for acetaminophen with codeine after having some wisdom teeth removed recently. I took them for about a week until they ran out, which was this past Monday. I've had trouble sleeping and a slightly cranky stomach since. Is using opiates for one week long enough to experience withdrawal?

It usually takes a little bit longer to build a tolerance. It could just be some rebound anxiety. You will feel better in a few days.
-
Everyhody is different so you could be.Just forget about it and you will be good in a few days.not long enough to cause anything long term but a few days feeling weird is possible.
-
You need pain medicine for a week for wisdom teeth? I took pain medicine for a day and tolerated the pain until gone. I threw out the remaining pills.
-
Could experience a little discomfort but nothing major as takes longer to properly hook into you and cause dependency. As said try to put out of mind and will be gone totally in next few days. You can see how insidious and dangerous these things are now, not all addicts are scumbags who deserve scorn and contempt.

shut up dumbass ::)

The acetaminophen can irritate your stomach lining.
In any event stop taking the opiates. Very bad.

I'll ask if it's alright to use aspirin next time.
I tried Kratom a year or so ago and started experiencing similar symptoms on the same day. Maybe I'm just sensitive to opioids in general.

Depends on dosage and how long you take it.
NSAIDs generally should not be taken for extended periods.

U A 2 soft , man up ::)

You’re a full-blown addict.
Just chase the dragon with fervour and accept the addiction.
HTH

Doubtful, codeine is pretty weak stuff from what I remember anyway. I would think it would need to be harder of a substance to be addicted after only a few days.
Speaking of NSAIDS, I just started taking Aleve again the other day and have had two nose bleeds. Just had a procedure that they gave me pain meds, which I didn't really take but they told me in case I needed to have a surgery to not take the NSAIDS because of bleeding. Never had an experience like that, it spooked me.

A few weeks ago I was shitting blood. Took a dump in a construction site toilet (no water) and could see a ring of blood around the turd, so I concluded the leak was a few inches inside the butthole. No pain or anything, which freaked me out because hemorrhoids are supposed to hurt, right? So figured I had ass cancer or something. Turns out internal hemorrhoids are painless and totally go away on their own after a few days.
No opiates, no NSAIDS, no dental surgeries. [/getbig oneupmanship]

Nothing worse than shitting on a jobsite trailer. Shame on you!

Opiates effect your stomach when you’re on them, you will start to feel better

They constipated me while I was on them; now things are "loose."

A week long prescription for wisdom teeth? Did they take the 4 of them out at once? I had that surgery 20 something yo ago. Two by two with a couple of weeks apart. I got a tap on the shoulder and the stomatologist told me to eat ice cream if I felt any pain.

I'm surprised you needed them for a week. But what do I know, I still have all four wisdom teeth.

-Common side effect of pain meds.

My sleep's more solid - among other things - so I guess I'm good.

Even ibuprofen goofs up your pooping.

No it doesn't. Don't talk about subjects on which you are ignorant.

Mostly true, but it can be hard on your liver. I'll stick with Aleve.

Run any opiate for 4 days or more and your body is hooked. You will go thru a withdrawl. Even minor withdrawl sucks moose cock
