Not sure if this topic will meet with any interest, but I'll start it off anyway with next year's Super Bowl ....
Super Bowl LIII
Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, GA
Sun, Feb 3, 2019 @ [Time TBA]
Cheap Seats ...$3,500 approximately.
Superior Seats ... $17,500 approximately.
Could the NFL ever go broke even if the stadium was half full or half empty?

And don't forget that $10 beer and $7.50 hot dog and an outlandish parking fee
The new Raiders Stadiun in Las Vegas does not have room for enough parking spaces, so you'll have to park someplace else.
I believe that they are trying to solve that problem as we speak, but the final solution will most likely cost fans a minimum of $30 and miles away.
-
Stunt the concession prices at that stadium are the cheapest in the nation. The beer is half your estimated price.
http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/24461717/atlanta-falcons-sell-5-craft-pale-ale-home-games-season
The game is largely a corporate event and the fans who attend pay the premium because their team is in the game.
I'd hate to imagine trying to find a ticket, plane ticket, hotel or rental car if I went because my team was playing, you wouldn't know for sure until 2 weeks prior to the game.
-
I'm sure it will be a great game. I'll definitely be watching......NOT!
-
Ha, wouldnt spend a dime, or minute of my time to watch the modern day cry baby pansies...
Ill watch one game this year when I go to Dave Mastorakis house for our yearly Pats game, and thats just to visit Dave...

Att stadium only serves miller lite too. :-X

Beer at NHL games is worse than that.
-
$12 for a beer at Giants Stadium in the Meadowlands.
Nobody forces you to go and get fleeced.
-
I'm no expert when it comes to sport stadiums, but many here in LV claim that this new LV Raiders stadium will be the finest in the US.
Is there any truth to that ?
Are there better stadiums within the USA or possibly even other world-wide stadums?
And about that $10 beer .... some people say that it will allow the beer vendors to serve more beer due to the fact that they don't have to spend time making any nickle, dime, nor quater change.
And it the end ofthe day it will be easier to count.
-
Fuck the NFL all the way to cucktard Hell. FTN.
-
SCOTT, Yes, A lot of former fans here feel likewise.
-
Haven't watched a game since the saints/colts superbowl. Stood up a date over a $500 pair of tickets. ZERO interest in the league. LSU and Oklahoma with Kyler Murray are good enough for me.
Ok vs FAU Sept 1st 8)
-
Fuck The NFL. How many people didn't renew their season tickets will be an interesting topic once the regular season games begin and there are empty seats. And then when the mega TV deals expire in 2022, the shot will really hit the fan. Keep kneeling, assholes.
-
Every mega business that is highly visible seems to hit a point where public opinion turns against it.
Everybody likes to stick it to the man.
The NFL is becoming the man.

There's been several NFL stadiums that lowered their concession prices to reasonable levels ($3 hot dogs, $5 beers, etc.) The Atlanta Falcons' dome is one, can't remember the others
-
Are there any stadiums that look better or designed better than this forthcoming LV Raiders Stadium?
-
I personally think that the powers involved have chosen the weong location for our new stadium for a number of reasons as shown below ....
The space in which the stadium is being built is too damn small and is not big enough to fit the required number of parking stalls so the 'fans' will have to park off site.
This off-site parking problem will be discussed and updated and made known to the public sometime next mionth.
Some industrious individuals will possibly open a motorized ricksaw business that could avoid traffic tie-ups. (Wiggs!!)
I believe that the main reason for picking this stadium site was its proximity to the Strip hotels and the view of the Strip hotels through the stadium's north end 'wall'.
But it's still pretty damn hot during the start of football season which will prevent a good number of fans taking that hike over the freeway under the present pedestrian walkway conditions.
There were many other sites in town which offered almost unlimited space on the yet to be developed south end of Las Vegas Blvd just south of the South Point Hotel/Casino ..... but that end of Las Vegas Blvd iis not yet developed nor considered to be "The Strip" .... just yet!

Gayer than paying 10.000 usd to watch other adults chase a ball.
-
Well, Odell just got 5yr/$95 million with $65mil guaranteed....someone gotta pay for it
-
Is this a domed stadium?
Vegas gets so hot.
-
IRON, I had to get an answer in a hurry and found this comment about the
stadium roof and "retractable doors".
The stadium dome will be state of the art glass .... "which I believe can be opened and closed"
And the stadium will have "retractable doors'.
So what he hell are retractable doors???
The large "hole in the wall" at the stadium's north end which gives the fans a view towards the Strip hotels ..... seems to be a major loss of seats and a huge air conditioning expense.
The last time I visited the site earlier this month (September) the tempertaure was 110 - 115 so it's gonna be a major expense to keep the fans, players, hot dog vendors, male/female cheerleaders, etc. cool during our summer hot spells.
And I believe that the real grass playing field can be 'retractable" (rolled in and out of the stadium as needed).

You guys should look up the Diamondback stadium. It’s in Arizona. Open air yet is about 70-80 I’m the stadium when it’s 120 out. They use an air cooling system to constantly pump cool air into the studium.
As for NFL prices. I’m not much of a fan anymore. Nothing to do with anthem protests. I’ve just been losing interest with how it’s being run. The lame rule changes and the thugs taking over the game.
-
Stunt,
Unreal.
No wonder these stadiums costs billions.
-
IRON, Yea ... 1.8 billion for this new one here in Vegas
DIABLO, How in the hell does that Diamondback A/C work to keep that stadium cool in the summer? And does it heat that space during the winter season?
And this is the only stadium I know of that has a box or VIP section with a pool and jacuzzi. A decent way to watch a baseball game.
What's up with that? Who gets to use it?

HTEX, Here is further info on AT&T stadium down your way, I think it's often referred to as "Jerry World".
The stadium seats 80,000 making it the fourth largest stadium in the NFL by seating capacity. The maximum capacity of the stadium with standing room is 105,000. The record attendance for an NFL game was set in 2009 with a crowd of 105,121.
By comparison this new Vegas Raiders stadium will be smaller with a seating capacity of 65,000 ... but no mention regarding standing capacity.

Here's an article from one of the Vegas newspapers hich may be of interest to you NFL stadium fans.
But there is no mention of smaller stadiums due to a massive loss of football fans ------>"NFL stadium developers are opting for less seating capacity in their designs. The reasoning is simple:
For some, the convenience of watching at home is better than experiencing the game live.
The Raiders' future home in Las Vegas will follow the trend with their $1.8 billion, 65,000-seat (70,000) stadium.
“In stadium development, we’re seeing stadiums going smaller,” Raiders President Marc Badain said last week at a Henderson Chamber of Commerce event. “As the at-home experience has improved so much, getting people to come sit in what are now fourth and fifth decks has proved challenging.”
Five of the most recent seven stadiums that were built seat 71,000 or less: Atlanta’s 71,000-seat (expandable to 83,000 for large events like the Super Bowl) Mercedes-Benz Stadium; Minnesota’s 66,655-seat (73,000) US Bank Stadium; San Francisco’s 65,500 (75,000) Levi’s Stadium; Indianapolis’ 67,000-seat (70,000) Lucas Oil Stadium and Arizona’s 63,400-seat (72,200) University of Phoenix Stadium.
Only two stadiums built since 2006 surpass 71,000 seats capacity, Dallas’ AT&T Stadium (80,000) and New York’s MetLife Stadium (82,500).
The Raiders already headed in that direction at the O.co Coliseum in Oakland, covering about 11,000 seats to reduce the seating capacity from 64,200, to 53,286.
Badain said the change increased demand for tickets.
The team kept that in mind as it planned the Las Vegas stadium project. The Las Vegas stadium will tie for the fourth smallest NFL stadium once built in 2020.
“When we looked to do a stadium here, to be honest with the demand, we probably could have gone bigger,” he said. “But, we like it to be intimate, we like it to feel like every seat is over the action and this stadium is designed that way.”
Instead of going for the biggest stadium size possible, Badain said the Raiders wanted the building design to stand out.
“We felt it was more important to have an iconic building, one that fit the market, so we settled at 65,000 seats,” he said. “I think we hit the right number.”
Badain expects the trend of smaller capacity stadiums to continue going forward, as teams look to balance out the intimacy factor and the live experience.
The Los Angeles Rams/Chargers 70,240-seat (100,240) stadium will also open for the 2020 season.
“There’s a team who is looking to build a stadium in the next 10 years, and they’re talking about going to 50,000 seats,” he said.
“The next evolution will be a smaller building and try to match or exceed that at-home experience, in terms of technology and what the fan experience is like.”
Article ends.
