No, but his toupee was saved
That sucks. I liked his movies and appreciated his work in Boogie Nights (Still fucking kills me every time I think that the movie came out in 1997 - 21 years ago!!).

yeah that's Sad. but he was pretty old. he was damn near 50 when he was doing the bandit movies... Hooper was my all time favorite Reynolds flick.
Supposedly he hated Boogie Nights, never even watched the whole film.

People forgot about him a bit, but he had some great movies back in the 70's 80's . Sure, you've got Smokey and the Bandit, Deliverance, Cannonball Run, and The Longest Yard. But Stick, Sharky's Machine, Semi-Tough, and Boogie Nights all need mention too. Even his lesser stuff like Gator, and White Lightning can be fun time wasters.
Wish he wasn't such a Diva in the 80's - early 2000's, he had chances at some great roles. And I hope enough of his part in Tarantino's new film is filmed so it doesn't get left on the cutting room floor.
In the film "Shamus", Reynold's character pays homage to Bogart's Philip Marlow in "The Big Sleep".
Superb!
You certainly are an angry little "man," bro beans.
magnum p i
Really?
He was nominated for an Oscar, GG and SAG award.
He won the Golden Globe for it.

Oddly enough, I've never seen that film. Reynolds was, as far as I can recall, the first actor whose films were so fun that we simply referred to them as a "Burt Reynolds movie". "Let's go see the new Reynolds flick!" was said a lot back in those days decades ago.
Hooper is a great get away from it all movie and one of his best! I'm partial to the dark comedy, "The End". Dom Deluise is superb in it!
Rest in peace to the owner of one of the finest 70s Porn Moustaches ever...Burt Reynolds. :'( :'(
Are you implying Burt had an encounter with Betty as well?your guess is as good as mine... who knows ??? besides betty
82 years of age used to seem so far off. :(

when you think about how many years it is away from you, and then where you were that many years ago, it's a little unnerving
Following your suggestion, I tried this and yes, it is unnerving.

I watched "Smokey and the Bandit" today and it's still a fun film! I watched
"The End" last night and it too, is a fun movie.
